I needed a liner for my bedroom curtains since they let too much light in. I decided to try these since they are inexpensive and well rated. I love them! Nice fabric, no smell, nice weight, they are truly blackout. The rings are not so easy to open, but definitely not as hard as other reviewers mentioned. I was able to use all the rings and it took me probably 10 minutes to hang them behind the existing curtains (no need to take down anything).I wasn't sure if these need to be the same width as the curtains (I have 4 panels of 40" each). It worked out great, they don't need to be the same width, they just need to be wide enough to easily cover the window).I also like that they are white toward the street!

I ordered these for my guest room. Although my white curtains do not block the sunlight, I was looking for something that I could use as a liner in cold weather as well. These fit the bill on both. They are greyish-white in color, but unless you have them up against a white fabric, they are such a light grey that you cannot tell they are grey. They are not heavy so there is no tension on the rod. Open and close easily. They are just a little wider than my curtains so I will use iron-on tape to adjust the width. I gave them a quick rinse in the machine and low heat for about 15 minutes in the dryer before hanging them. I did have to iron them with a low-heat iron, but I am very fussy, others may not care. They look great and are blackout. The rings are a bit tricky but once they are up it is well work the effort. Highly recommend.

These curtains did the job of keeping the light out. They are behind existing drapes, so no one sees them. I would not use them as stand alone curtains - they have a utilitarian look and feel, with the white having a slightly grayish tone. Be aware that the top loops will fit rings. Without the rings, the loops will not slide over a rod that is thicker than a fraction of an inch. It came with rings (appreciated) most held firm but we have a couple fail to hold. It did come with an extra ring (maybe two?).

They do very well at blocking out light. I was able to install them easily. Very pleased with them.

I bought black out out curtains that, once installed, we not anywhere near black out. I bought these liners hoping I could stop the light from coming in. They were easy to install and work great. I would buy them again.

These are terrific for adding a room darkening liner to lightweight or cotton curtains---mine were the later, cotton. Work very well to darken the space. However, be sure to open as soon as they arrive as I discovered a package lacking the required "O" rings that are needed to attach the liner to the curtains. I had to reorder new set; Amazon accepted return on the item with "missing parts". Note: I use these with draperies that have grommet rings to hang from the rod. Not sure how these would work with regular gathered draperies. My guess: probably have to use a double rod to hang these.

Very blackout look under my linen curtains. One pair was cut evenly and hung nice, the other pair was cut very short on one end and is very noticeable. I will need to move it to the corner window that’s not at noticeable. Also ordered fabric tape to attach the sides so they don’t show through when pulled back. Overall okay. Wrinkles came out with steam iron. Definitely notice less cold air coming through my drafty windows.

I don't like to be in total darkness during the night and I like having semi-sheer curtains. I had to solve the problem of neighbours not seeing into my bedroom at night when I have lights on. I have four identical curtain panels on my window that I love (also purchased on amazon). So I purchased ONE set of these blackout liners (so two panels) and I installed them on the two middle curtain panels on my window. This allows me to fully stretch out the middle curtain panels that have the liners at night for necessary privacy, and then reduce these panels during the night when I'm sleeping so that I'm not in total darkness. I compared 3 different products because I wanted to avoid toxic materials and smells. The cheapest product didn't even state the material used. I chose this specific product because it was the only one with a little green leaf symbol and 1 sustainability feature. I can confirm this product has no smell whatsoever. The material is a very light grey color. It is thin and does feel slightly plastic-ey, but this is not a complaint. It was easy to install, and I did not have to remove my curtains from the rod. Just stood on step ladder and used the rings provided to position as shown in the pictures. Very happy with this product.
