When should change the reeds?
When the treble is not good, the reeds are attached to the mouthpiece, which means the reeds are already very soft, and it must be changed. Also, when you feel that the tone has dropped a lot.
How to install a clarinet reed?
1. Place the thin end of the reed in your mouth to soak or put it into a container of water to soak;
2. Lay the flat side of the reed on the flat side of the mouthpiece;
3. Carefully place the ligature over the reed;
4. Make sure the tip of mouthpiece is almost perfectly even with the tip of reed;
5. Adjust the reed by the sides with your thumb - don't touch the tip;
6. Tighten the screws firmly to make sure the ligature can’t slide off, but not too tight.
Warm Tips:
1. The new reed is relatively dry and hard, and the vibration is not sufficient. It should be soaked in cold water for about 2 minutes before use (the front end of the bubble reed). You can prepare a few reeds for change, which can effectively extend the life of clarinet reeds.
2.Take care when you install or place it, if the tip is broken or curved, the reed can't be used again.
3. After each use, it's suggested to be gently washed with the water and absorbed the rest water with paper, put it in the ventilation and store it the case.
Note:
1.Spots on the reeds don't affect the use at all. During the growth of the reeds, some parts are not covered by the leaves. When the dew gathered on these parts, and after exposure to the sun, the spots are formed. Some professionals specially choose this kind of reeds, since that means the reeds are grown in sufficient sunlight.

I bought these because daughter needed them quick, as you know how kids are- they don't tell you they need them until the last minute, lol.They came the next day and she says she prefers them over the ones she bought at the music store. Great value, will buy again as needed, hopefully not at the last minute again lol.

I’m really disappointed with these reeds!! Unfortunately I got them the second week of Dec. My boys said they were on their last reeds, so I ordered these as back-ups for when they needed to replace them. My son came home this week saying that he finally changed to a new reed. He said these reeds were so bad that 4 of them broke this week (Mon & Tues) alone! I had to rush order a brand I trusted to be delivered Tuesday evening!! The worst part is because they didn’t really have school barely in Dec and their reed lasted until the second week of Feb, I missed the return/refund date, by only about 12 days!!! So, save your money! Don’t waste it on these like I had to, just find out how terribly made this product was…. Ugh

I ordered these for my daughter's clarinet and they do not allow ANY sound to come out. Do not waste your money. And go figure im 2 days past return date so now I'm out the $20 I spent on them.

These were purchased for my beginning band class. They splintered and also warped after a few minutes of use. They are irregularly sized and just horrible. This was the worst instance of “you get what you pay for!â€
