Detailed Installation Steps:

Step 1 -

Option 1: If the pivot door is on the left, the top pivot is inserted into the pre-drilled hole on the top left of the door panel.

Option 2: If the pivot door is on the right, the top pivot is inserted into the pre-drilled hole on the right side of the top of the door panel.

Note: We offer metal and plastic top pivots, metal pivots are recommended. If the pre-drilled holes are a bit small, you can choose the plastic top pivot.

Step 2 - Insert the guide wheel into the other hole pre-drilled at the top of the guide door.

Step 3 - Insert the bottom pivot into the pre-drilled hole on the same side of the bottom edge as the top pivot.

Step 4 - Measure the position of the bottom bracket so that it corresponds with the drilled hole where the top pivot be installed. Screw the bottom bracket to the corresponding jamb and floor.

Step 5 - Adjust the height of the door by lifting the door panel and turning the threaded rod of the bottom pivot. Insert the bottom and top pivots into the bottom and top brackets respectively.

Step 6 - Adjust the top bracket inside the track into place and secure it with the screws on the top bracket.

Fit for doors 1" to 1-3/8" thick and weighing up to 50 lbs!

The hardware is well made, appropriately packaged, and a perfect substitute for the four defective pieces of hardware that I replaced. I also have several pieces of the hardware leftover from this kit, to use in the event of any future repairsConsider watching numerous videos before attempting your repair. Each video you view will afford you an additional piece of installation knowledge. Consider only replacing the parts that are obviously defective. Also, consider NOT tapping the spring-loaded pins & wheels into the hole with a hammer. Instead, consider using a crescent wrench or a pair of pliers with a loose perpendicular grasp and then tap your crescent wrench or pliers to get the proper depth for the pin or roller. This will prevent damaging the spring mechanism(s).Be patient with yourself when trying aligning both your bi-fold doors horizontally and then vertically. Don’t get frustrated. If you don’t like the outcome, your first time around, sit back & reassess the issue, then start over again. You can do this.

I was able to use this kit to repair my existing closet. I only used some of the pieces that was damaged and it works great now! I can't believe I didn't get one of these kits years ago...good quality and priced very reasonably. Instructions where also straight forward.

We bought the flat metal piece seperately to go with this kit. Don't know why they don't include it with the kit. With both things , my husband repaired foldeing closet door.
