I purchased this to replace a hand router I had on my CNC machine, I can't believe what a difference it makes! First off, I don't know anything about electronics and was a bit intimidated about the wiring setup, fortunately there's some good videos on YOUTUBE. This spindle is so quiet and powerful, I wish I would've gotten one years ago, it's a game changer! I used to dread using my CNC because it was so loud, but now I can barely hear it running. I'm very impressed, highly recommend.

This is my second from company. First had some issues and customer service fixed it immediately. This one I had some email back and forth to verify things again customer service did great job. As with any spindle/drive you will need to figure out how wired. But great setup

So far I have not been able to even turn the motor on since there is no cable included to connect the VFD to the motor. I had to fabricate an adapter plate to attach the motor mount to my Genmitsu PROVerXL 4030 using my old spindle motor which also meant that I had to machine my own holes into the motor mount as it was completely void of any means of attachment to anything. FYI, the motor and motor mount together weigh almost 13 pounds (not a complaint, just read below). Make sure your stepper motor can handle the additional weight if this is an upgrade of the original spindle motor. Also, the extra weight makes the moving parts of the Z-axis flex downward slightly so the bit is not completely straight up and down. Shimming is not the solution since when the bit touches the work piece, the weight will transfer and the spindle motor will straighten out which will move the end of the bit forward of the original point of contact and will move the bit aft when the Z-axis raises. Not ideal for drilling a hole if you want your bit in 1 piece at the end of the process. I am working on a counter-weight to attach to the other size of the Z carriage to counteract the flex and I will update if I have any more to say after I have used the new motor.

Spindle starts and runs, Went to level a piece of MDF and cutting 1/16th of an inch with a 1 1/2 surfacing bit and it stalls the spindle out. Really thought 2.2 kw would have made that cut pretty easy, well another time I have saved money for something and got screwed.

We have tried to get support from the seller - they sent a set up instructions much later - not with the initial shipment. When we were ready to install it - it was passed the 1 month return policy. It never worked as expected and I cannot recommend any part of it.

Keep in mind this is a 110v. I ran a new dedicated 20 amp circuit for this.If I had to do it over again I would go 220 v
