Very sensitive. Not a bad thing of course, but it WILL trigger a natural gas alarm if any aerosol is sprayed near it. We’ve got one on our kitchen and the granite cleanser and scrubbing bubbles sets it off.

The sensor is extremely sensitive. If I spray Fautless starch, Febreze, deodorant (or a fart) it sounds off and takes a while to stop alarming. I eventually have to unplug it for a little bit. However, I still give it 4 stars because it works well at detecting the unseen gases that could pose a potential risk. I don't want to mess around with the CO. I won't go without the extra sense of safety.

I especially like its portability. A friend borrowed it because he thought he might smell gas - it wasn’t gas, just a bag of damp mulch!

I read the instructions. Plugged in. Waited over 3 minutes for product to set itself as directed. Cracked gas line within 1 foot of detector. No alarm. Nothing happened. I'm returning and getting a Kidde like I had before. Lot more expensive but if you break wind within 10 feet it goes off.
