I find the three different modes with two fans to be useful. I also like the fact that it has two legs that let the fan sit on the window sill instead of inside the open window, without falling over. That way the fan can be kept in front of the window which can be opened and closed without removing the fan. It's noisy, but it's a lot quieter than other fans I've used.

June 12, 2022, update:I am adding a new found reason why this fan is AMAZING and why I just ordered a 2nd one.Today I noticed that the bug screen was plugged with cotton-wood fluff (it’s that time of year in Vancouver). All I had to do was remove the bug screen, clean it, and put it back on. Very easy and quick! The reason why this is AMAZING is because all my previous window fans required me to remove the front grill, clean it, clean the blades, and then use 1000’s of Q-tips to clean the back grill. This is so easy and very convenient. I’m not saying dust won’t ever get into the fan and make the blades and grill get dirty, but the bug screen will make the task much less frequent.****I LOVE IT****I live in the Vancouver BC area and last summer we experienced an excruciating heat dome so I decided to buy this item in January 2022 when supply was not a problem. I finally needed it this week (May 30/22). I’ve had several window fans over the years. I chose this one because of the remote control, and the bug screen and cover. My window slides open so it is installed vertically. The “fins†that pull out on each end are cheap. One side came apart. No big deal, I prefer to use a piece of cardboard to fill the gap between the fan and the top inside edge of the window. The fan works very well. It does have an audible buzz to it when turned on, but it’s a lot quieter than my air conditioner and uses little electricity to operate. The bonus is that I can use the remote control to change fan direction from cooling the room to blowing out stale air. Last night was my first time using it and at 3:00am a skunk sprayed near the building. It was a luxury to be able to grab the remote from my bed and switch the blades to blow out. In the past I had to get up, remove the window fan, and close the window. Then - try to figure out how to get the stench out of the room. So overall I am very happy with the product.

I only use this for the “exhaust†feature. It has 2 speeds, high and low and even on high it isn’t obnoxiously loud. I originally bought the Amazon Basics brand fan and it stopped working within a few minutes so I bought this one to replace it. The Amazon Basics was louder on low than this is on high. Again compared to the Amazon Basics fan this seems more durable, the other one felt very cheaply made. The air flow is still very good on the low setting. I’m very pleased with this so far!

The fan works really well and it keeps my room nice and cool. I use as my window fan. But the remote control doesn’t work.

I'll plan to update this review after actually using the product, but here are some initial things I've noticed.CONS:1) I really wish manufacturers would off-gas products before sending them out! This fan STINKS. I turned it on circulate right away when I got it, and within a minute or two my house smelled awful and plastic-y. I have a bird so I need to be extra careful about that sort of thing. I immediately moved this fan to an upstairs room and set it to exhaust out a window. I had it on all day and all night, and this morning it STILL smells when I run it. It's a bummer that I have to run it constantly for who knows how long before I can actually use it as a fan.2) The beep really is infernal. I thought, there's no way the beep is as bad as reviewers are saying. It's not like it beeps constantly. But - it's that bad. It's worse than you're imagining. It's truly an awful, awful noise. Nothing you do will prepare you for it.3) The lights are BRIGHT. This is a con for me, as someone who intends to use it in my bedroom at night.4) The feet don't stay on and it's really not sturdy unless it's leaning against something. I've had it sat on a table on low and it fell backwards 3 times.PRO/CONS:1) It's lightweight. This is good for me because I'll be carrying it between rooms/up and down stairs. However, that also means it's likely not going to last as long as it should. If you're intending to install this semi-permanently in a window, I would recommend looking for something a little sturdier. I'm afraid to actually wedge it in my vertical sliding windows because I don't know if it'll be able to hold the weight.PROS:1) The remote is nice to have, especially if you're using this in your bedroom or in a less accessible window.I think for the price point I was expecting something a little sturdier. Who knows - maybe it'll last for years and years!

I bought this fan for my slider windows, I use it vertically. It works great, not too loud and brings plenty of cool outside air in! Plus I got a great deal buying it used/like new. It came in perfect shape.

vent a room quickly draws cool air in if you want or can do both at the same time.This is my second one the other one lasted about four years and still works but needs a good cleening lol

Muy buen producto, enfrÃa rápidamente el cuarto. Solo dos detalles, el ruido, el cual es comparable a otros ventiladores pero serÃa excelente que pudiesen bajarlo y la otra área de oportunidad, es que le faltan opciones para fijarse a la ventana (quizá Velcro) y eso ocasiona problemas con diferentes ventanas

This fan works very well, gets the job done, and easy to control with buttons or remote. The twin blades bring cool exterior air in, or take interior air out, or both at same time, which is the biggest positive, without manually having to lift and rotate the machine.The size is 23 ¾ x 12 x 3 ½ inch and fits inside the side sliders double window panes track or in front of the interior front pane on window sill. The two legs attach by a clip and supplied screw on bottom and is another useful positive and prevents fan from falling or blowing over if sitting against the window, or on a flat surface. Fan has a moderate weight, hand carrying indentation, and stable white plastic frame. Comes with elastic bug screen cloth filters for front or back side of fan frame and used only when fan is off.The only three minor negatives are the buttons on the grey front control panel are impossible to see to activate, but the remote is easy and effective from five feet away; the on/off/changing buttons have a very loud chirp sound; and the fan motor (not the blades) has a slight hum sound.This is an excellent fan, at a very competitive price. Highly recommended.
