I have 3 pressure canners -- 16 qt Mirro, 21 qt Mirro, and 21 qt All American. If you own any of these, the inside measurement is about 12 inches. The rack will not fit inside either of the Mirro pots. It does however fit in the All American but gets very tight at the bottom of the pot. The rack itself would fit but the handles folded around the basket ring are make it slightly larger than the pot diameter. I used a pair of large vise grips to grab hold of the top ring around the basket where the handle hooks on and bent it just slightly inward. I did this on all four areas where the handle hooks onto the basket (see photos). This allowed both racks to fit easily into the 12" pots but didn't damage or change the capacity of the basket, which by the way is 7 quart jars (see photo). We use our pressure canners for both hot water bath canning as well as for pressure canning, making them dual purpose. The racks are a nice addition to either canning method and I no longer have to insert and remove each jar individually with a jar lifter.I cannot speak to rust resistance but they seem very durable and I can't believe they would rust any faster or worse than traditional racks did that were generally not made with stainless steel. I am very happy with this purchase despite the conflicting and by my account inaccurate measurements listed on the product page.This product (as of writing this review) currently states:"Suit for Pots: The size of rack is about 12 (diameter) x 8.5 inch (height with handle, because the handle can be fold); Please make sure your canning pot inner size is bigger than 11.8 x 8.5 inch before purchase"This is not accurate by my measurements. The rack is slightly larger than 12 inches when taking into account where the handles attach on the outside. You need at least 12.25" or maybe as much as 12.5" inches internal diameter of the pot all the way to the bottom for complete clearance. There is no way this rack would fit inside a pot with an internal diameter of 11.8 inches, so I am confused as to how they even came up with this measurement because it cannot possibly be accurate. All three of my pots measure precisely and accurately 12" internal diameter and this rack does not fit without slight modification.

Good quality. Stainless steel did not rust. Used it all season without problem.Tight fit in my current stockpot but did fit. Be sure to measure your pot.Definitely recommend.

I don’t know who designed this, but these things are supposed to sit on the side of the pot while you fill them and then you can pull them off the side and drop them into the boiling water. And then when the hot water bath or sterilization process is complete, you can lift them up, hook them on the side of the pot to take the jars out. Unfortunately, these don’t sit well on the side of the pot and they keep falling down into the water. Makes canning very difficult.
