Ice maker AEQ73110210 includes the ice mold and the control device. The ice maker receives water from the water inlet valve and then holds the water in the ice mold until the water freezes solid. Like others, I was having issues with ice cubes not releasing due to mineral deposits which then caused the ice tray to overfill with water and either spill or create large cumbersome chunks of ice. I purchased this remanufactured replacement and though it was scheduled to arrive after roughly one week, it arrived in a couple of days and appeared to be in effectively a brand new condition. The important detail is, it functions as if it is brand new. After a week or so, I'm completely happy with with purchase.

Hated the fact that an OEM part was so expensive for a part that wasn’t abused, just used for a short time. One of the cube trays cracked and leaked all over the ice bin, rendering ice maker useless. Found this refurbished/used piece and so far so good. NO instructions whatsoever, but frankly, I prob would not have read anyway. DID go on YouTube and watched a vid on my particular model. You DO want to do this. As such, this fix took under 30 minutes and was NOT difficult. Cracks me up to see some of the other reviews. One complained about being used. Um, that’s what refurb means. This really was a plug n play.

Mine came clean and with new ice cube tray. Works Great, ice started in a couple of hrs. I replaced the icemaker due to Hard Water BuildUp in the Ice Tray that caused the ice cubes to NOT fully release during 'Harvest". Like a few others there is the 1 screw by the water diverter that need to hunt for, then smooth sailing!! I'd buy it again, especially at $30!! Nice job to reBuild vs landfill!

Replacements, used the parts to rebuild original. everything worked well. The only problem was UPS drivers don’t know how to read addresses and they delivered it 1/2 mile away. I can’t wait for UPS to teach their drivers how to read, once they do that I may buy more items online.

This part was clean and appeared new. Our old trays had hard water deposits which caused some of the ice to not pop out, which caused constant overflow. This ice maker had new clean trays. Double check the LG part number because there are similar icemakers that have different connectors. Also- after installation there is a test/reset button you'll need to push that is underneath this icemaker! I installed it a month ago and it has worked flawlessly making tons of ice!
