Highly recommend. It has a tension brake to keep the hose right where it is. Very nice brass fittings. This reel will definitely last the test of time. When I received it, on the back is a square bracket with like 5.7" space in between for mounting.For mounting on the wall if you have drywall say in your garage and you dont want to cut the wall and put in a center brace. You will need a bracket that spans across the 16" studs to allow you to mount the bracket. I found mine at clean garage. Once mounted up. I couldn't be happier. Purchased for DIY custom wall mounted Active 2.0 pressure washer and reel combo. Selected the Cox over some of the lower priced options due to overall build quality, and a bit more compact against the wall for my space.Reel is very heavy duty, did notice one chip in the powder coating inside the reel, but not with returning for exchange, Will hit with some touch up paint to prevent rusting.Note will need to purchase whip hose to connect to pressure washer separately. I used a quick connect plug to connect the hose to the reel, since my hose already had male quick connects attached and did not have a swivel end.

Pros: Nice heavy gauge metal in the base which creates a very clean design, nice blue powder coat color, compact design, good warranty, decent price point, receptive customer service.Cons: Runout on the axle shafts that I think is part of the welding process and also a function of the design where each stub axle is welded to the drum side disk without have a solid single axle. The handle was the worst, small weak looking plastic bearings that were not molded all that well. The bearings are retained by a thin strap of metal held in place by pop rivets. If this unit is wall mounted the force of recovering the hose goes against those pop rivets those small straps. Take a close look at the photos.I would suggest you compare this to the Hannay 1000 series which is sold on Amazon and other places. Note the Hannay reel image on Amazon for the 1016-14-16 is not correct. It shows a very streamlined base and the current Hannay base has mounting flanges external to the base so not quite as clean of a design.Bottom line this still might be the right reel for you. It all depends on your wishes and the use. I am pretty fussy on tools and this did not quite meet my expectations hence the 4 stars.

This reel is smooth like butter. Handles everything I thow at it like a boss. It locks in place and is super sturdy. You get what you pay for! No leaks, connections are top notch. I just wish it came with a whip.

The reel does work but after 4 trips to Home Depot and other hardware stores i finally got it connected . For almost $300 they should give you adapters or even mounting screws. The video they show is the old guy going ON AND ON AND ON about this Amazing powder coating…… it’s terrible. There’s bubbles and cracked paint all over the thing. Like a i said , it does do the job but for the money it’s not worth it. I would look into another brand before this one

This hose reel is better than expected. It is something for commercial use. I bought it for my portable pressure washer and the hose rolls up great. The handle is heavy duty and sure works great to roll it back up.

Went through three cheap, plastic hose reels in 8 years before I realized I don’t make enough money to buy cheap tools. Mounted this on the side of our house with 3/4†adapters + fittings and a 3/4†garden hose. Complete pain to install because this thing is heavy! Lag bolts through cedar 2x4s in an “h†shape did the trick. Provides more than enough pressure for what we need, unrolls and rolls the garden hose back up with ease. Completely over-engineered by design. It’s probably going to outlast the rest of the house. This thing is sturdy and very well made.
