Your cart is empty. This coffee mill lets you get more flavour out of your favourite coffee beans. The conical burr grinder provides a uniform grind, time after time, and optimum flavour. The 18 position grind selector allows you to choose from ultra-fine to extra-coarse grinds and a cup selector (from 2 to 14 cups) specifies the precise amount of coffee beans to be ground. A countdown timer automatically shuts the grinder off when the beans are ground. A manual override feature provides the option of grinding your own desired quantity and fineness. The removable bean hopper holds up to 8 ounces of beans and the grind chamber is removable for easy access and cleaning. A blue, backlit LCD display shows the timer, fineness setting, and number of cups.

I have owned three other burr grinders about the same price and this grinder easily surpasses them all. It grinds quickly with a noise level much lower than others I have owned (it's a grinder, so it won't be silent). The hopper feeds beans much more smoothly and consistently than other grinders I have had (on my other grinders I could have a full hopper and the beans would get stuck and the unit sounds like it's gonna explode because it is grinding air), I HIGHLY recommend this grinder for the person who does not want to pay a king's ransom but wants the full flavor of freshly ground beans! If something (God forbid) happens to this one, I would immediately buy another one.Due to the static charge that is imparted to the coffee particles by the grinding action (like rubbing a balloon on your head) NO coffee grinder will be very neat and grounds will stick to anything. We put ours on a decorative tray and simply dump it when it gets too full of grounds. THat's the price you pay for freshly home--ground coffee! The main issue I have is the static electricity- lol! This will wear down over time but I was covered in coffee grinds the first time I used it. Give it a few minutes to let the static subside when first using. Also can try stirring beans with a wet metal spoon handle.Also the grinder does make noise - it’s a grinder, so…. Go figure. It’s like asking for a quiet circular saw, it doesn’t really exist.We love this lil appliance and really affects the quality of your coffee when it’s fresh ground!!

have owned 2 of these units, 1st one lasted maybe 4 years and worked well. 2nd one malfunctioned in about 8 months and had to be discarded -- the basket became very hard to seat and now is unusable. there must be more reliable products out there.

Nothing to complain about so far.Out of the box, wiped it off, and gave it a try. And it worked fine. I didn't scrutinize the ground coffee for perfection. Even my Braun grinder skipped bits and this makes LESS noise!

Our Cuisinart DBM-8 died and I had to replace it. This one looked like a fantastic upgrade, but now that I've had it for a month and a half and no return available, I'm stuck with this miserable piece of junk. I gave 4 stars for noise level, because it's quiet, but that's by far the best thing about it. The grinds fall into the container from the top, unlike the DBM-8 which came in from the side. Which means when you pull the container out to pour the grounds into the coffee maker, a bunch fall out into the container slot, which means now you have to clean the damn thing before you can put the empty container back in. There doesn't seem to be a very good seal between the grinder and the container either as my entire counter top is covered in coffee dust, every time I use it there are grounds all over the outside of the container. Be prepared to spend more time cleaning this stupid thing, as well as the rest of your coffee covered kitchen for that matter, than actually drinking your coffee. Terrible design Cuisinart, did anyone even test this before someone said "let's make a million of them and sell them"?

Great on so many levels. It has airtight storage for the coffee beans; but I only grind as much as I need. I am still figuring out the amounts, but the "overflow" can mostly be put back in the Coffee Bean bag. Just use something like parchment paper. I can't say much about noise, I am hearing-impaired. Cleaning is GREAT ... I just figured out that the circular grind washer comes out. This makes cleaning a snap.

I had had a Cuisinart burr coffee grinder which I liked. It was the $99 model. No doubt due to designed obsolescence, it stopped working and I got this one, thinking more expensive might make a good one even better. This coffee grinder is remarkably loud and you are certainly not going to run it while your partner is watching football. But the most objectionable thing is how messy it is. There is static in the grinds and they end up everywhere, on the counter and under the ridiculous, cheesy hopper. In addition, the opening through which the grinds drop gets clogged and it's hard to clean and not make the aforesaid mess. I'm not sure why using this appliance should use up what little patience I have and honestly, I think I might get rid of it and try a different brand

Just received our Cuisinart grinder today. First cups of coffee perfect! Moved up to this from a blade type grinder that would leave small chucks and bits even after long grinds. This grinder has numerous selective grind settings from fine to coarse. The number of cups, from 1 - 14 is very accurate. It is a LOUD counter top appliance so I like to grind the night before. It seems have been built very solid. There are issues with static causing the grinds to end up on the counter but holding the reservoir right into the filter seems to have addressed that problem. As already noted, this thing is loud.A coffee snob cousin recommended a burr grinder and we finally purchased. We started with 8 cups of grind and percolated 8 cups of water........PERFECT! Easy to clean. Operates as intended. Highly recommend!CiaoUPDATE. SEPTEMBER 25 > Wife wanted to try the grinder.....set it to make 6 coffee cups worth of grind. Dealing with the static from the grounds container, not a big deal, can be dealt with. All is right with the world again...........UPDATE. November 19, 2015 Now that winter is starting to roll in the static issue is bothersome. I believe it is the same with most grinders this style. Every time I try to pour the grinds from the reservoir into the filter basket there is a small cascade of grinds onto the counter. Also, there is a small amount of grind in the reservoir chute that falls out onto the base. This has been mostly corrected by tapping the top where the led screen is. The static is what it is and the machine does what it is supposed to do very well. I would definitely still by this grinder.UPDATE. April 6, 2016 The static problem cured only by grinding and letting it sit for an 1/2 hour or overnight. This lets the static dissipate. The static with the grinds is caused by the acrylic used for the reservoir. Other than that minor issue the grinder continues to be our best friend. Great coffee!

The Cuisinart name speaks well enough for quality, and I have no complaints in that department...so far it works flawlessly. The setting are not over-the-top, which I like, nor is understanding them a matter of deep study and trial and error...everything is fairly easy to figure out even without the manual. It has a large hopper on top, so even though I use a large amount of coffee every day, I only need to fill it with beans every few days.The two features I love are the grind settings - 18 settings ranging from espresso to French press - and the amount settings, from 1 to 14 cups. Unless you're using it commercially you won't use all the grind settings...I set it on 4 and use it for drip coffee; or the amount settings...I use 4 cups because I fill a 24 ounce cup.I previously used a hand grinder, but on a fine setting it takes forever to bring enough, and there is no "amount" setting. With the new grinder I simply hit one button every morning and a in a fraction of the time it used to take, I have a preset amount of coffee perfect ground. It's fast, efficient, and gives me the right amount every time.

When I first got this grinder, I was really pleased with it. The ability to precisely control the coarseness of the grind, and the volume of coffee ground, was a big upgrade over my previous chop grinder. It was a total guessing game as to how much coffee bean to put in to get the desired result (a fist full?) and how long to grind for. I didn't even really have a sense of how finely ground the coffee was *supposed* to be. This coffee grinder completely solves those issues, and helps me make better coffee as a result, more consistently, with less guesswork, and less effort.Here's my big gripe, though: the coffee maker gets gunked up with SIGNIFICANT amounts of ground coffee every time you use it, and there's no easy way to clean some of the crevices where the coffee builds up. As a result, you can wind up with significant amounts of stale (air-exposed) coffee in your next grind, unless you invest tedious effort to clean it, which completely defeats the purpose of grinding coffee fresh. The worst offender is the chute between the conical grinder and the clear plastic container. It's longer than it has any right to be (probably a couple inches), and really narrow. The only way to "clean" it is to stick the narrow-end of the included measuring cup / brush into the chute, and wiggle it around. When that happens, you get the mound of grounds shown in the attached picture splattering across the base of the unit (which is also full of gunk-collecting crevices). And to be clear, this is not an accumulation after weeks of use: this is all from ONE grind.There's also the frequently commented upon issue of coffee grounds sticking to the plastic container (often in quite significant quantities), seemingly because of static electricity. I don't really care about that - the container is really easy to rinse. But in the end, making coffee with this sophisticated machine that's supposed to do everything for you ends up being leaving you with a huge mess of sticky coffee on your hands, that invariably ends up splattered across the kitchen counter. I still prefer it over a plug-in chop grinder, which is also difficult to clean, and totally haphazard in volume/coarseness, but I think the best solution may be a hand-powered burr grinder. Without an electric motor in the mix, everything can be rinsed under the tap, and there are far fewer compartments for ground coffee to build up in. I'd rather take the extra 30 seconds to grind the coffee manually than then the extra 5 minutes to deal with the mess left by this unit.

I just had to follow some tips I found online on how to properly grind and get the coffee out of the container. Lots of static but a few bumps on the counter and it goes in fine. small particles for clean up but works great.TiP: When it is grinding, just put your thumb up against the container and this will prevent the grinds from falling behind the container and later onto the counter.I love this and highly recommend based on price and how well it work. Consistent grind based on the number I choose to grind.
