so far it's a great little machine - especially for the money.one slight bit of a 'flaw' - which is not of any real importance;when on the "espresso" setting, sometimes it will quit grinding, and the "grind-type" knob has to be turned back to a more coarse grind, and then back to espresso so it will "pickup" the beans - which is NO BIG DEAL, and NO actual problem - just something anyone should know just in case they use the 'espresso' setting.it does a great job of grinding, and i love the fact that i can leave beans in the hopper and grind them later.i really don't feel there's a need to constantly 'clean' this machine - look at it realistically;those bean grinders in stores NEVER get cleaned - at least not that i've ever seen - and taking it apart all the time will more than likely be more of a detriment.i use this thing daily, and grind quite alotta beans, and it hasn't failed me yet, so i've already gotten my money's worth out of it.if you want a nice machine which doesn't cost a fortune, this is it.

When my last grinder bit the dust - literally- I really struggled with what to purchase to replace it. This grinder does a very nice job, is compact and fits well next to my coffee maker, and holds a good amount of beans. While I wish it held a full pound, its grind is perfect every time, no matter which setting I use, and the simplicity of choosing the number of cups I intend to brew and grinding that amount daily keeps my coffee at peak flavor. It also eliminates the need to measure as the grinder does the work for me.For the price, this is an excellent appliance. Highly recommended.

As a coffee enthusiast, I was looking for an affordable grinder for home. If you’re a 1st timer, it can be functionally a little tricky if you’ve never used one, but nothing a quick video couldn’t teach you. It would be a good 1st grinder. It can be a little messy if you’re not paying attention, but watch a few videos, have a good laugh when you spill it and everything will be okay. It’ll get easier to use. Also be sure to clean out the spout after a few grinds. The different grinding settings are nice cause I like a fine grind. It’s pretty noisy but what can you expect when running a machine like that? The compact size and design is a win. Only thing that I disliked, the hopper cracked after a couple of months cause it’s plastic. Just take care and make sure you’re twisting it in the right way. However, I’m still able to use it so win.

There once was a caffeine-addicted visual designer,Who needed her coffee to be just a bit finer.Assembling was quick,Just a button to click,This grinder made mornings much brighter! For a French press, it’s truly sublime,Though some grounds might fall out from time to time. The finer coffee dust,Might stick, but adjust,With a damp cloth, it’s cleaned in no time! It’s easy, intuitive, a morning delight,Makes every cup taste just right. So if you need a good grind,This one’s a great find,It’s kind of big, was her only whine.

This coffee bean grinder, is faster than the commercial one that I use at Costco to grind my whole bean before I leave the store. This grinder is so fancy (for the amazing price) that you can dial the ground settings from regular, to espresso...wait for it...then you can also set how many cups you are grinding for on the front dial, so if you fill it with beans but only want it to grind for 4 cups, it stops automatically with precision. WOW....and did I mention how it works like a jet blender, and really is not loud, so MUST buy this.

The grind selector does not work. No matter what you select, you get a course grind. This seems to be a recurrent problem with this particular machine. There are a lot of very similar machines at this price point. I'd advise you to select a different one.UPDATE: well, I returned this grinder to Amazon and, on a friend's recommendation, bought the one I should have gotten from Amazon in the first place. The Shardor grinder is the same price as the Fohere and looks almost identical, but it works! Came fully assembled and very well packaged in protective foam, unlike the Fohere, which came rattling around in a box with almost no protection and required some tricky assembly. I suspect problems people have with the grind selector on the Fohere come from the really lousy packaging. The two machines are so alike, they're probably from the same manufacturer in China. The difference is in how the branding company packages and presents the product. Go for the Shardor.

This grinder creates lots of fine coffee dust which builds up on the machine and inside the grounds container. This seems to prohibit a tight seal when the grounds container is connected to the machine, causing grounds to spew all over the countertop. Otherwise I think the machine works well and grinds appropriately (minus what's lost from the really fine dust).

Live grinding my own beans right before making a pot of coffee! Tastes so much better! It is a little loud, but the design is good and it has so many options for grind size and speed.
