This has been a nice product for processing berries and mushrooms. It is straightforward to use. The amount of force required will vary depending on the thickness/hardness of the item you are cutting, so it makes sense why this is suggested for use with softer produce like eggs and bananas. I wouldn’t try to cut anything hard like a carrot.

This slicer is one of those items you didn't know you needed until you got it. It is so useful! The design is simple but effective. The quality materials ensure durability and consistent outcome with repeated use. The simple mechanism made it easy to chop strawberries and bananas for salads and garnishes and easy. I replace an egg slicer with this. The is not as good as the slicer. You have to put the egg on the bottom and push the device over it. It is a little woberly and you have to take the sliced egg out of container if you want to slice it twice. Would not buy again.

Works well except the bottom has just a tad bit of space that doesn't go all the way through. However, I have 2 kids and I'm always slicing strawberries or grapes for them so this truly has saved me a lot of time. It's easy to use, good value and easy to pop in the dishwasher or even just hand wash with a little brush thing you'd use for straws or something. Seems pretty durable thus far.

This works well for soft or medium hard veg like cucumbers and potatoes but not very well for carrots. Other than that my only complaint is that one end is always open and has no lid so it's a little messy
