Ordered this item to install on my mini convertible. It is well-made, fit perfectly and the video tutorial on their website was awesome (and I know nothing about cars). Highly recommended.

very fast shipping. This item was easy to install.the instructions were clear with good photos. i did not have to remove the wheels. the plugs in the wheel wells poped out with a standard screw driver. because i did this alone i used zip ties on three of the four holes on each side of the bumper. i lifted the right side up first and started one bolt. then i lifted the left side up and started a bolt. this held the units together i then cut the zip ties and put in the rest of the bolts. replaced the bumper cover and i was finished. it took a little less tan a hour doing it my self. i highly recommend this hitch for anyone with a 2006 mini cooper. the hitch will be used to hold my bike rake that slips into the hitch opening.

Fit our 2004 Mini Cooper perfectly! A little Barbie-sized hitch. The instructions were great with excellent pictures. Took him about a couple of hours including loosening bolts and re-doing 1 section when I jumped ahead by mistake (oops). All in all an excellent product, delivered quickly, with excellent instructions. Thank you Curt.

I bought this item as brand new, but had some signs of usage. apparently was a used product or a returned product from another customer. The package where the washers were was open and the instructions sheets were dirty and folded inside the screws package.

Great product. Exelent fit on my 05 Mini Cooper Convertible. At first it's really tricky to reach the safety pin but after 2 times becomes easy.

I like Curt, and have installed several of their hitch receivers on different cars over the years, but with this one you need to understand what you are getting. It arrived with no instructions -- not even any packaging, just bubble wrap taped around it. The online instructions refer to serrated washers, but none were shipped with mine. The install took me 1.5 hours, not counting the time to put the car on jack stands to start. Part of this is learning curve, but a second install would still take at least an hour. It cannot be accomplished without some trimming of the bumper cover, and on a 2003 you lose your backup light. I'm pretty handy, but couldn't figure out any way around this. I'm installing a PIAA style driving light to replace the factory backup light.The muffler heat shield required a good bit of denting to fit this unit. Also, the safety chain hook points are virtually unreachable after the install is finished. I remedied this by installing two short links of chain to the hooks on the receiver.All in all, far too much modification and improvising for this unit to rate a good review for a 2003 Mini Cooper install. I'm disappointed that Curt sells this as a fit for a 2003 without full disclosure. Purchase with caution.

Not disappointed. Curt makes great products for towing, and this is no exception. All of the parts were included, all of the holes line up as they are supposed to, and it bolted right into place. The powder coated finish was perfectly uniform, and all of the welds are solid. I saved a small fortune purchasing this here, which was also a nice plus.
