Well this is one big hitch. Be carefull when ordering these items as this unit is for the narrow 34" wide chassis. I had to return this unit first (20,000lb hitch) to Amazon because it was the narrow one. Got to love that Prime free return deal... So the new hitch Curt 18510 for wide 37" chassis was easy especially as I had recently removed and tried to install the narrow version. Took about 1 hour maximum. Spare tire stay in the same spot - all factory like - except this thing is huge and tough. Biggest issue was 150ft lbs of torque for the fastening bolts and then the 450ft lbs for the ball. That was an bigger issue. Great price and now I can tow pretty much anything and rest assured the hitch is probably stronger than the chassis of my truck.... Purchased the 2.5" 20k lb ball mount and 20k ball too. Curt has good prices here on Amazon and a great quality product imo. Please note: This hitch is for the narrow 34" Wide Chassis. Order the Curt 15810 for 37" Wide Chassis'

The install went smooth and has the extra strength in the places you can appreciate. This is a Class V hitch that requires a 2 1/2" receiver. Get the right hitch for serious hauling. The spacer is fine but not what I like. I like a good cushion style which is available. I broke my old Class IV hitch hauling a Mini Excavator. If this one breaks, I need a bigger truck.

It fit perfect on my F550, although you have to drill two holes they were in an easy place to get to. The only down side is that it does not have anywhere to mount the electrical connection for trailer, I solved that by adding on a small spot on the flat bed for it as mine was a rare one with out. BE AWARE, this is for a Cab and Chassis, NOT a regular pickup as the frame width is different. Over all it fit my needs for a really strong hitch perfectly.

I purchase this and it arrive early , the body was severely damaged and appeared to be missing hardware but it was pretty well taped to the hitch . No damage to the hitch was done . I have a cab and chassis with service body . So I had to unbolt my bumper to for the hitch on and drill the necessary holes . All in was a simple 1 person job

My husband had to make some modifications for it to fit his 03 F550 but now that its on its been a great sturdy hitch for pulling our heavy equipment.

Beware - when I purchased the CURT 15845 trailer hitch receiver (NEW) I received a trailer hitch that was clearly used/returned and then repackaged. I am very disappointed with the alleged NEW product I purchased and am hopeful the seller will provide a partial refund based on the condition of the product I received. If there is no partial refund available, I will be returning this trailer hitch receiver for a full refund. Why can't I just receive the item I purchased in the beautiful pictures that are shown on the sellers amazon page.

Product was well packaged. Included all hardware needed for install. Bolted right up to our F-450 Cab & Chassis truck.
