I gave it five stars for ease of installation even though I had to put a half inch notch in the bottom for a bracket bolt I could not move. Keep in mind it fits multiple trucks. If you have never done this before it will take time and four hands.

Instructions were great, easy to follow and accurate. Bolted right to the frame with very little coaxing. However, once the front rail was installed and I was drilling holes for the rear rail (Curt rails and Curt 5th wheel hitch) there was a slight amount of interference to the edge of the hole of the bracket. Just working the drill back and forth about took out the material needed (about 1/4” max), but the manufacturer may want to check or recalibrate their tooling for accuracy. All in all great product!

Installed this on a 2016 F-350 yesterday. Installation was straight forward with a couple of exceptions. Here are a couple of minor things to note.1.) Horseshoe Shaped Spacers. The instructions are not clear on the horseshoe shaped spacers that fit into the corrugation on the bottom of the bed. The instruction diagram shows the spacers being installed with the opening of the horseshoe facing out. After a few frustrating attempts it was determined that due to the law of physics, it was not possible on my application, there simply is not enough room to insert the spacer in that direction and allow clearance of the mounting rail carriage bolts. The spacers need to have the opening facing in.2.) Sensor Control Module. Factory wiring does not allow for as much movement of the sensor as indicated in the instructions unless you want to pull a number of black push pin clips and try to relocate those. There are a couple of workarounds. Leave the clip located closest to the tail gate in and push the clip closest to the cab through and then zip-tie to secure. Or, with installer supplied bolt and nut place the relocation bracket in a different location closer to the sensor. The fish wire that comes with the kit worked great!

So basically, these brackets can only go in one way. Easiest way to do this. Put the brackets on, then drill the holes from the bottom with a 1/8th drill bit. Then go to the top, and use the 9/16th drill bit. Put your spacers and bolts through, Torque to spec and your done. Make sure you put your fifth wheel hitch or Anderson hitch into the rails before you tighten them down. But there is no reason to measure. If you had the universal kit, then yes. You need to measure so you have proper placement of the rails. But these brackets already put your holes where they need to be. You can't adjust these brackets on the frame. They won't move forwards or backwards. They have a set spot. Get them set in place. Then, like I said above. Drill from the bottom up with a 1/8th. Then drill the top, with a 9/16th. Super simple.

I installed these and the Curt rails on my 2012 F350; it was the simplest and easiest fifth-wheel install I have ever done. No drilling into the frame was required, all hardware was provided, and the products are of excellent quality.
