The brackets were heavy and thick, just what I needed. I also ordered the CURT 16204 5th Hitch Rails to mount these brackets on my 2023 Silverado 2500 HD Long Bed. The directions were good. Good diagrams. Clearly written. Holes in the rails and the slots in the brackets lined up well. But the work is quite tough to reach many of the nuts under the bed and then get them to 110 ft lbs of torque! You start by removing inner fender liners (it reads 4 screws; this Chevy had 10, plus 3 other fasteners), and the Spare Tire, and the exhaust heat shield (pretty easy to remove 4 bolts, but tough to get them back on, because the right side Bracket is now in your way). To start, the directions called out 30-7/8†dimension (for Long Bed) from back edge of truck bed to the back edge of the rear rail, which was perfect for the bracket’s slots. The brackets can be moved 1/4†or so forward or rearward, because the primary 5/8†bolt (and Spacer) anchors into a 1-1/4â€-ish oval in the chassis threaded onto a Fishwire. A U-Bolt secures the rear part of the Bracket around the chassis frame (don’t trap the electrical wires attached on the inside of the frame on the driver’s side). The included Spacers come in 3 thicknesses, with the goal of preventing the Rails from crushing the bed ribs when tightening to the brackets. But the thickness (bed rib measurement) I needed on my Chevy was more than any one Spacer, so I used 2. And I tightened the Rails to the brackets before tightening the Brackets to the chassis. Also, some Rail holes fell inside or at the edge of welded bed cross supports, requiring that Spacers be squeezed into those openings, and the Bolts dropped down through them. Some locations I taped a wire to 2 stacked spacers in order to slide them into alignment with the holes. I used some large washers in other locations to get a tight fit. The rear Rail was easiest to get Bolts, Spacers and Nuts on and secured. The forward Rail had chassis parts, shocks … in the way. Passenger side not as bad as the Driver side … the Fuel Tank is there. Smaller hands will help. But to get Spacers in there, then the Nut, then to tighten it to 110 ft lbs, was challenging. There is room on 8 of the 10 Rail Nuts to get a Torque Wrench and socket. Lastly I torqued the 5/8†Bolts (210 ft lbs) and the U-Bolts (75 ft lbs). I’m satisfied that these rails are very secure. Reinstalling the Heat Shield the Bracket was now in the way for 2 of the 4 bolts that I previously accessed thru the fender well. I worked thru it. Other 2 bolts were easy. The fender liners were also much easier to remove than replace. Took me 5-6 hours, that includes removing parts to start and replacing at the end, some think time, double checking that my bed holes are in exactly the correct locations, trying to get Spacers to fit, and getting everything torqued down.

Very nice, very strong. The video makes it look real easy. I found on my new 2022 Silverado it took a little bit of time to install.

Installed by myself, but definitely would be a lot easier with helper! Was a little difficult to get to some of the bolts, but that’s not the brackets fault ,just is what it is,it did come with all hardware/bolts needed. CON u-bolts seem little small, but are working fine

**UPDATE**They never did send me the correct nuts that were missing despite three phone calls and over two months to make this right. Product is decent but their customer service is terrible. The kit seemed to be well enough built but it was missing some parts (nuts to attach to frame). Normally this isn’t a big deal but in my case I had a brand new truck taken apart to install, find this out, have to undo my progress and put the truck back together. I called customer service thinking they’d want to quickly make it right and while they were nice enough they don’t seem in any big hurry to get me the missing nuts (shipping them mail “in the next day or soâ€).So I purchased this from Amazon so I could get it within two days, setup time to install it so I could use my truck to haul my trailer this weekend, and instead I’m out roughly an hour of labor and it looks like it will be next week before I get to do my install. When a business drops the ball they should go out of their way to make it right quickly, not drag their feet and inconvenience their customer. If they were more speedy with this I likely would have given four maybe five stars.****UPDATE****Today I received the nuts that were missing except one was the wrong size. Call customer service and was told something about this being a special order and it will be next week before I receive the missing nut in the correct size. Mistakes happen but this is extremely frustrating. They are clearly two different sizes.

The Curt bracket was just like advertised. However, upon arrival, the package was damaged. It had been placed in a second box. Almost all of the installation hardware was missing. Amazon refunded my purchase and told me to keep the brackets. I contacted Curt to try to get replacement parts turned out to be a nightmare. They wouldn’t sell directly to me, I had to find a dealer. Then the dealer couldn’t find the parts. Then once we did Curt would not give me anyway to track the package. I finally had to order bolts from a third party, cut and drill my own spacers, then try to manufacture my own fishing wire. Once I did all this and installed the hitch the package arrived. All told I ended up spending twice as much money on replacement parts as I would have if I would have reordered the hitch. Not too happy.

These are great unfortunately I will be sending these back as the truck I bought has the attachments already on the frame.
