These Cutting Wheel Blades are made of HSS (High Speed Steel) which is a type of steel commonly used for all types of cutting tools. There are 6 different blade sizes, 22,25,32,35,44 and 50 millimeters. They are designed for use with any rotary tool or power drill, as they also come with 3 compatible shanks. First of all, be sure to wear safety gloves and I highly suggest you use both hands for a good solid grip to fully control the Rotary tool or power drill. Like most all cutting wheels, the teeth on these blades are straight behind one another and not offset like a power saw blade. They tend to buck or race off of most materials, so again, be sure to use both hands to control the blades performance. There is no shame in using both hands, as it just may help you save a finger or two. I tested the 25mm and the 50mm blades on some scrap PVC, 28 Gauge Aluminum, 26 Gauge Steel and wood. The 50mm blade tended to be harder to hold in place and wanted to jump more than the 25mm. They are designed for use up to a maximum 20,000 RPM’s, which your average drill will not even come close to, but most rotary tools will easily exceed that when on higher settings. Life is Good!! These HSS Cutting Wheels Rate High on the Claydog Approval Scale!! Enough Said, Wrench Drop!! Thanks for your time, Claydog

My primary tools are a frill and a skil saw, so I was excited to pick up what I thought was a combo of the two. This is kind of like a dremel, but in a small saw form to attach to your drill to make cuts. Now, this could simply be because it was my first time using, but it was almost impossible to get a really nice clean cut. I was cutting White oak, so it may have been the hard wood, or my lack of experience with the tool, but I was hoping the lines would have been cleaner. I did however like the idea of being able to start a cut, or saw some lines on the corner of the cut to help guide it a little better. I was worried of kickback, but being extra cautious, I did not come across any binding or anything like that. Overall Im glad its in my toolbox!

I can't possibly count the number of times I've used my Dremel or my off brand battery powered rotary tool. They're such useful tools. But what I never liked about them is how the kits that come with them only ever have cutting disks for things like metal or plastic and the like. Those are fine for that but awful for wood. So I didn't hesitate to snatch this up when it came up for review. What I like about it.It comes with multiple shafts so it can fit rotary tools or power drills. There's a nice assortment of sizes for the blades. I've only tested one so far but they seem decently robust. They get the job done of cutting wood instead of pretty much burning through it like the normal cutting disks. What I don't like about it.I'm not exactly a fan of having my fingers so close to blades like this. If you screw up with the normal cutting disks and hit yourself you're generally only in for a simple ouch situation. Something I've done several times over the years. Screw up with this and at best you're in for some stitches. At worst you'll get to know the "joys" of surgery. And that's assuming you didn't manage to do something like hit yourself in the neck somehow. So it's definitely something you have to pay attention to a lot more than any other type of bit I've seen for rotary tools. But hey there's ten zillion other dangerous tools out there so I don't really have anything meaningful to complain about with these. I'm glad I came across them.

These cutting wheels are helping me take care of some of my trim projects around my place, primarily cutting wood pieces of various sizes. I have been using the hex shank in my drill and wearing my leather gloves and safety glasses. I just glide the drill along, not hurrying the wheel at all, and I haven't had any problems. Thank you for having a set of wheels with so many different sizes. However, it would be nice if they came with a carrying case of some sort. I am storing this set in a sandwich bag tucked inside of my drill case - which works well. Overall, it's a very nice set.

These slotting / cutting saws perform like a heavy duty version of a Dremel tool. The cutting blades are heat treated and will cut soft steel. However, the cutters do not have any Kerf / offset like a saw, they are completely flat. They will bind and kickback at anything more than a very shallow cut even in wood. Remember if you are using a hand held tool you do not have a lot of control like you do with a slitting saw in a milling machine. The long mandrel designed to be used in a hex chuck on a drill is very smooth and if you have a cloth glove on it is long enough to grab it with your glove hand letting it slip as it rotates to gain better control but I tried it and DO NOT RECOMMEND it. I will probably more often than not use the larger saws as a slitting saw in my mini milling machine even though they can be used as intended. The saws come completely sealed in a plastic pack. It is not designed as a storage thing but if you just cut a sliver off of each side you can slide them in and out and use it for storage.

I needed a cut off wheel for a project but was not ready to spring for a Dremel / rotary tool, so these cut off wheels that could go in my drill was the perfect solution.I got excited when it arrived because I thought it came in a storage pouch, but unfortunately the pouch is single use and needs to be cut open :(It worked great for the small cut I needed to make in wood. Quality is as expected for a ~$10 cut off wheel kit.
