55 pounds magnetic strength is a balance that, the lights will not fall down in driving and not very hard to be removed by an adult.
Protective label
To avoid surface scratches DO NOT remove protective label on the bottom of the magnetic base.
Installation
1.Set the lights on the back of the vehicle being towed, keep the red side of each light faces backwards
2.Set the light which corresponds to the green wire on the right side. Set the light which is attached to the yellow wire on the left side
3.The Towing lights are now ready to be activated as you use the brake and turn signals of the towing vehicle

We were waiting for some parts to come in to fix our trailer lights but had a weekend trip coming up. Ordered these that showed up the next day. Super simple, super bright and the perfect solution for our needs. The magnets are extremely strong and we didn’t use anything else to keep them on. We covered some rough terrain and they stayed put. A great product

Moving from NJ to TN i needed to put a rear cargo hitch for extra storage. This with the bag covered up our brake and turn signals so i purchased this. It was extremely easy to plug in to the port. It is super bright and worked great. the only thing i will note is there are 2 versions, one with a more rounded base and one with a more rectangle base. I probably should have gotten the rectangle as i did need to add more support for added security (the magnet is strong but i wanted to make sure it didn't move as it wasn't fully on a metal base. The zip tie did not work on the rounded base so i ended up using electrical tape which worked fine. Again the magnet was strong and if putting on solid metal i am sure it wouldn't move, but in my application i wanted to ziptie. Again it worked well for my needs and price was reasonable.

Used to tow home a hay baler, wires were long enough to reach all the way to the back. Easy to connect. used a connection adapter to fit the tow lights hookup on my truck, search for the "Hopkins 47345 4 Wire Flat Adapter". In combo with this connector, towing safely was a snap. By the way, I thought the magnet strength was excellent. No issues w/ lights coming off. Thanks.

The lights are bright and seem to wok properly. Magnets hold well although i have secured them to the roof racks. Haven’t used them much so have no opinion on how they’ll last. I do wish ,however, that the lead wire was connected to the driver side light then feed to the right. That way the wire wouldn’t have to cross the width of the vehicle to connect to the tow vehicle. I have added an extension for it to reach so it does work well. Just a small thing, I suppose. Doesn’t affect the function or quality of the product. Just a matter of convenience…

Liked ease of install & worked well. Magnetic base did not stay attached to my trailer going downthe road. I had to secure them with wire ties. Lights keep falling over but did not fall off.

Can’t give it a bad review, I couldn’t figure out how to install it, if you buy it you have to know how to install wiring

Used this product half a dozen times to bring yard waste to the local compost facility about a mile from my house. Install and set up were a breeze. Unfortunately, the smallest bump caused the lights to shift and twist, decreasing their visibility and effectiveness. The magnets failed twice causing one of the lights to fall off. After the first time, I taped them down to the metal fender, hoping that the combination of the tape and the magnets would be sufficient. It was not as you can see from the picture. To make matters worse, when the light fell off the second time, the wires wrapped around the axle of my trailer. It was a busy day and I was caused quite a traffic jam. Stressful and frustrating to say the least.I cannot recommend this product.

Pros:- Magnets are strong, I bounced my trailer around (unintentionally), and they did not move at all- Comes with spare harness for 4 pin flat plug- Bright lights- Inexpensive & quick option for fixing the lights on your trailerCons:- None yetI picked these up when I bought a new to me trailer, as I didn't think the wiring on the trailer I bought was up to snuff. After two trips the lights failed, and I didn't have the time to futz around with the wiring, so I took this, snaked the cable around the sides of the trailer so it wouldn't go anywhere, and I was off and running with only a a few minute delay. I've been using them daily for a week and a half, and I'm quite happy with the purchase so far.

Good quality, well made, functions properly, but some doubt about the magnet retention force which does not seem strong enough to resist high speed wind draft. Will surely use it with a safety string or strap to ensure it won't fall when used on highways. It would be 5 stars with a stronger magnet.

I used a tow dolly behind my truck to transport a dodge minivan 1200 km. I purchased the lights as a second set of indicators for safety.The 20ft wire harness draped over the van and connected to a dual outlet on my truck. Here’s the problem. The wire would whip back and fourth while driving and tug on the one light causing the magnet to pull off - answer: two sided tap - perfect. Next issue was the whipping action of harness scuffed the paint on minivan enough to scratch off clear coat finish. ðŸ™LED’s were very bright and worth the price.
