I didn't realize when I ordered strength 2 that is for beginners, but my daughter is using them fro practice. The higher the number the better the sound but you have to progress up to it. She is actually on 2.5.

I ordered these after my granddaughter started learning to play clarinet in 6th grade. Back in "my day", I played 1st chair, both concert and marching bands, throughout high school and still own an infrequently played clarinet I bought from a pawn shop! Anyway, my granddaughter indicated how difficult it was to get to the only music store in our area that sold reeds, so I ordered these. To make a long story short, we both tried them on our clarinets and had a ball playing Christmas music. I noticed right off that the reeds were pliable and the sound quality awesome. They actually made my old clarinet easier to play and it sounded better than it had in years! My granddaughter, also, said the new reed made her clarinet easier to play. So, I most definitely recommend these reeds.

I saw RICO at first sight, and we were recommended to the other brand, so I ordered both, and have to say, kid responds with no difference in between.

Muy suaves y con excelente calidad. Se ham convertido en mi marca de cañas. Super recomendadas. La 2 funciona super bien en ambientes calidos y la 2.5 para clima mas humedo, de verdad se siente la diferencia.
