I know these shorts are intended for swim, and I think they would be perfect for that. I however bought them to wear under my summer dresses. I love comfy flowy sun dresses, but the "chub rub" and sweat can make them so uncomfortable, and shorts like this help with that. The white will help to not show under light colored dresses. These do not cut into my waist or thighs which is nice, and they are very comfortable. The legs do not ride up when wearing. I love having pockets for my phone or cards if I don't want to carry a purse. I am 5'2 about 135-140 and the medium is a perfect fit - they fit right without being skin tight.

These are "bike short" style swim shorts that include pockets on either side.Pockets - The pockets are large enough to fit a large cell phone. If you are familiar with the type of cell phone pockets that are included in some pairs of workout leggings - these are the same kind. They are flat to the garment and make room for items by stretching over the items. This means the items in your pocket have a well defined and visible outline.Material - The swim suit material is fairly thick. Easily thick enough to stretch without appearing see-through or stressed from stretching reasonable amounts. Not unreasonably thick though, just thick enough to feel like quality material. The lining/built in underwear inside the shorts is the same material that the rest of the short is made of, which is slightly disappointing because it adds a little bit of bulk and the "panty line" look is more visible than it could have been if the liner was made from a thinner material. I don't anticipate this will add too much dry time because it's good swimsuit material, but again, this is an area that stops these shorts from being absolutely perfect.Size - I found these to be on the small side of true to size. Mine is size large, which is usually a comfortable size for me. For reference I wear women's pants size 10-12 US. These do fit, but they're a little tighter than what I consider ideal. Not uncomfortably tight, I don't need to exchange for a larger size, but perhaps a half size smaller than what I expect from something labeled large. Because of the stretch this is fine and perhaps even beneficial in that there is a little bit of smoothing compression effect. The length of these shorts is perfect if you want to wear them as shorts but be ready to jump in the water at any moment. They are great for a day at the lake and if you need to run into a convenience store for something you look fine with these and a tee shirt over your swimsuit top. Added benefit is that if you are the kind of person who maybe skipped waxing your bikini area this week (or year) the coverage is such that it's a non-issue.Construction Quality - Unlike a few swim suits I have purchased on Amazon, these shorts doen't seem to have construction issues. All the seams appear well constructed/finished. There are no random threads dangling, everything appears sturdy and finished. I don't anticipate anything unravelling prematurely.Overall I recommend this item if you're looking to buy swim shorts that cover more than the shorty boy-short style. I expect these to be my go-to shorts at the lake this summer. I'm rating them 4 stars because they're really good but not quite perfect, if I could give 4.5 stars that would probably be more accurate.

Last year I got a new two piece bathing suit with swim shorts like this but found while on vacation I wanted to wear it everyday but obviously re-wearing the shorts wasn't ideal, especially after they got wet I always wanted to change them right away. Anyway, I had been looking for another pair of swim bottoms so I was really excited when I found these!They fit well as I'd expect, the material is the same as the swim shorts I already have so a perfect second pair. The material quality feels nice and durable. I'm even more excited for vacation this year since I have these!

Bought these for water aerobics to get some more coverage versus traditional swimsuit. I bought a size small ( usually a size 2) and these fit true to size. I gave only four stars because the line from the internal brief is visible on the outside of the shorts when you have them on so you get just a tad of a “panty line†look. I would prefer if the whole inside was lined so you could avoid this, but I still like these and they will be a nice comfortable alternative to bathing suit bottoms.I also kind of wish the shorts were straight across all the way around instead of slightly coming up on the bottom of each each side, but that is just a personal preference, and it was clear in listing photo that the shorts did have a slight cut up on the sides.

These fit exactly as expected. The fabric quality is nice and they are well-made. Even though it's swimsuit material; a little shiny and slick, these wear well as shorts too, especially because of the pockets. I don't feel or notice the built-in brief when wearing them. Looking forward to summer so I can wear them in water too.

Love these so much!Color is gorgeous. Super comfortable. I could wear these all day. They have a nice stretch to them. They are lightweight I appreciate the added side pockets that can hold your cell phone etc.. Can't wait to use these for the pool and/or beach days! ☀ï¸~ I would buy more colors if available!SIZING: TRYE TO SIZEI am 5 6' 145 lbs , LARGE fits perfectly

These swim shorts are pretty stretchy I got it in XL but found that with my thick thighs and big butt I was not able to get these as high up on my waist as I'd like.. also wished bottom of leg opening of the shorts stuck closer to my thighs to fit more flatteringly and not allow water to go up my legs. I really like the deep side pockets but remember to not put any phone or objects in there before going for a swim.
