We had birds nesting under an overhang dropping their poo on our bbq grill, our patio and the dog's kennel including the dog's food n water bowls. They were dive bombing our vehicles AND the birds were entering our garage when the big door was up or the small door was open thereby becoming trapped therefore succumbing to their death after head butting the glass window too many times in their efforts to escape.I bought a couple of these owls, a couple of the hawks as well as several snake replicas including a very realistic cottonmouth and rattlesnake. Together these have done the trick!The owls and hawks are hanging by durable fishing wire in several strategic places. They are hanging in the areas we want to deter birds and where a breeze can gently spin these replicas to add realism.As these bird replicas are all placed by different doors and different overhangs I know each of them are indeed responsible for their area being free of poo! The snakes are intertwined in chain link and the larger replica snakes are out front along the garage wall on each side of the large garage door, so are "guarding" different areas.The birds now stay away from our garage, patio and dog kennel. Since literally the week after I placed our replica critters I have not found *any* bird poo on our patio, our BBQ grill nor in the dog's bowls. No more birds in our garage, either! Wow, such an easy quick fix!I happen to collect owl statues, simple statues did NOT work. It took these life-like replicas to deter the persistent birds. Be sure to hand these birds by fishing wire or other durable means as cotton twine quickly degraded allowing our high drive dogs to have a new play toy. Despite getting somewhat crushed and chewed, this life-like replica is still performing as intended.This Gardeneer Owl is a great accompaniment to other bird of prey replicas and snakes to deter birds including the rainforest snakes I intertwined into our fence as well as the and I placed on the brick veneer one each side of our garage door.

We have been battling birds from building nests above our front door and dropping stuff all over our porch for a month. I tried everything including a fake snake. Most of the fake owl reviews/ratings were terrible so I was skeptical, but this one had the best rating so I gave it a try. I hung it with a rope at 1st and the birds were coming back and kind of checking it out, so I switched out the rope with fishing line and wallah! Gone! The birds are pretty smart, but this guy looks pretty real and when they couldn’t see the string I finally have a clean, birdless porch again! So grateful! I also dropped him twice from the top of my ladder and was worried he would crack but nope, he’s lightweight and pretty sturdy!

I have crazy birds literally trying to peck away and destroy my house. They have pecked multiple holes large enough for them to nest in. Nothing except sitting outside with a water spray bottle in hand seems to be able to keep them away.In that context, this owl seems to have deterred many of them. It certainly isn't the end-all solution but it has had an impact for sure.On the pros side it is lightweight and easy to move around, and also very lifelike so I feel like it is pretty effective for its intended purpose.On the cons side, because it is so light, it needs to be secured in place or the slightest breeze is sure to knock it over. That makes for a second downside because there is no provided mechanism for attaching it to anything. There is a slight indent underneath that could be used to set it atop a circular pillar or something, but no instructions were provided for how to do this. The best bet seems to be glue it down (which would reduce its effectiveness as instructions did say to move it every couple of days to make it seem more lifelike) or attach it impermanently with tape.Overall a 4 star item. Would be a 5 star if it came with instructions and hardware for mounting it, or was heavy enough to not topple over in the wind. But it gets the job done.

Purchased to deter hawks and other predators from the chicken coop. Quite lifelike, actually. Easy to open at the bottom and fill with sand. Can’t say he’s stable because the husband and I have made a game of moving him around the top of the run. Where’s Jeffrey? He’s great. He’s doing his job. He’s scaring predators away. We like Jeffrey. He performs better than our lazy cats who think their purpose in life is to sleep in our garden and occasionally murder that nuisance pine cone. Basically, we love Jeffrey. High recommend this product.

It’s a well made beautiful product however it did not stop the blue jays or squirrels. As soon as I put them out the jays still flocked around. They were not the least bit concerned.

It kept the birds from crapping on my window in my sunroom. I put it on the roof of my sunroom for a few days , then moved it to the lawn . Seems to work , haven’t had to rewash windows …

Bought this owl to keep away pigeons. The owl looks great and real. But the pigeons didn't go away, infact flocked even more. Now serving a decorative purpose.
