On the recommendation of knife and sharpening expert, youtuber outdoors55, I decided to make the best leather strop I could possibly buy or assemble, and took a chance on this leather. The price is reasonable, I paid $20, and can get probably 5 strops out of the 60" piece. The 1.5" width works well. Used the suede side of the leather rather than the smooth side as recommended. It is quite fine and smooth and evenly finished. I used a very small dollop of diamond polish paste. Not an expert yet, but this seems to be working as intended.

Leather was very flexible even at the 89 oz weight 3.45mm to 3.75mm. Grade B top grain at least but some marks were on the back of my strap. Overall a good buy for when you need a strap over 50". You usually have to spend a lot of money to get a side of leather big enough to get a 60" length strap of good leather.

Got this to make some handheld knife strops. This letter is perfect for that on the rough side. No too hard and not too soft

Glued about 12" to a 2x2 piece of wood and added some 4 micron Jende brand Poly Diamond Emulsion compound to it and stropped my knifes very sharp.
