So I got my Nissan Sentra for my daughter as a college car. Always had to use a pen in the override hole to shift it out of gear. Finally found this part and deviced to give it a try. Also watched several videos, but they were not completely accurate. Lot of folks call out the blue solenoid in my pick, but it was one of the toggle type stitches in this kit. Only used the one but as you can see, I had to dismantle and remove the entire center console from the shifter on back, and also take the shifter assemble off its mounts to get the right position to insert that toggle which inserts from the inside of the housing of the shifter assembly. I am not a mechanic but my daughter and I finally got our Nissan shifter to unlock when you press the brakes for the first time. Nissan had no options other than full replacement of the entire shifter assembly and its electronics, quoted me over $1500, and then told me they couldn’t even get the part. Ecstatic that I decided to address myself. Again, only needed the 1 of 2 sensors/toggles but I am completely satisfied. Matched exactly to my 2014 Sentra and parts were of equivalent quality to what was replaced. Thx

A little tricky to replace but there are good youtube videos. This fixed my brake shift release switch. It was almost too good to be true. Worth it guys. I would recommend.

If you have a Nissan that won't shift, this is likely the repair. I have fixed a few. Takes about half an hour to install. At least in Altimas.

It was harder to take apart the center console than it was to install the new switches. 2016 Nissan Altima would not shift from Park with the brake pedal engaged. Online research said to check a fuse, and if it didn't work, replace the whole assembly ($1,200). I decided to do better research and found these switches. After swapping old for new, the brake pedal disengaged the switch properly and moves in and out of park with no problem. $30 saved me having to replace the entire shifter assembly. Total time of install from taking apart the console to reassembly was about an hour and a half.

I installed this switch in my 2013 Nissan Sentra a couple of weeks ago and it's working perfectly.

Used these on a 2015 Nissan Sentra. The switch fits but the wiring does not. Usually the switch is the problem when the car will not shift out of park. These fixed the Sentra shifter.

Shifter on my 2013 Nissan Pathfinder went and these switches worked perfectly. Nissan makes it a pain to get at but for 4-5 hours of my time savings from not taking it into getting fixed, it’s worth it!!

Product fit in but finish was poor, so require bit of force to put them in. Low quality, cheap replacement part.
