Needed a rebuild kit for my Mitsuba starter on a Polaris 425 four wheeler. This kit did not say it was for my machine but i took a chance and it fit perfectly. Now I am back to electric starting instead of pulling on the recoil starter. Now my old shoulder is happy again.

I bought this to rebuild the starter on my gs750. has everything needed but I only used the brushes. bike starts great now and sounds awesome.

Regardless of how the starter mounts, this kit works with a lot of older Japanese Mitsuba SM-12V (now commonly branded as NICHE) starters. This kit was inexpensive and I've seen it listed for twice the price. I was really surprised at the price and the quality - as good as the OEM Yamaha parts I took out. Came with the proper sized bearing, oil seal, rear bushing, o-rings & brush assembly. Definitely recommend. Literally got a brand new starter for $18 and an hour of my time.
