Although it took forever to arrive, I was excited to receive it. I've done 2 projects using this yarn holder and it does make for a smoother unwinding process. The magnet is strong and suitable for multiple weights of yarn. I used it with a size 6 and a size 3 with great success. The portable was nice for me standing in line at the airport. I am glad that I ordered it even though I'd originally talked myself out if because it was a necessity. Now I count it as a must have and I will make sure it's always wherever I am crocheting.

This has been awesome to work with. Kept the yarn from rolling all over the floor. (I also received the one that you can hang from your wrist and hung it from the back of the seat in front of me on an airplane. Although it couldn’t swing freely, it kept the yarn from rolling all over the airplane 😂)

Worked really well the one time I got to use it, but then the base feel apart seems the hardware that was holding it together was not the correct size

I absolutely love both of the yarn holders in this set!! The bigger one is perfect for setting on a table and the wand part that holds the yarn is attached with magnets so it easily comes off and can be put in a project bag. The base is not very big so even if you have a small space, it works really well. The smaller holder with the wrist strap is perfect for smaller projects or if you want to knit on the go! I've been using both basically non stop since I bought this a few months ago and I can't imagine going back to knitting/crocheting without them! No more chasing yarn balls under the couch! The assembly of the larger holder was very easy and it even came with a little screwdriver! I would buy this set for all my yarn loving friends, I love it that much!
