The base is silk screened acrylic which is a shame because the rest of it is brass. I'm going to replace the base with a nice wood piece for a better finish. Put it on a high shelf because you can tell it's a non-functioning piece up close, but even up close, it looks better than a lot of the scopes I've seen in gift stores, etc.The eye tube extends, and surprisingly, it has something like a 1/10th zoom from that. It's silly, but it "works". :)

This is a very small item but it does look nice on my desk. Very sturdy and looks like it will last a while.
