The kit is easy to install, and reasonably priced. It does a good, but not great job - the tailgate on my truck is aluminum, so not as heavy as my previous truck, and the shock does an ok job. If this were a steel tailgate, I think it would be underpowered.

Great price and great utility. I love being able to open the F-250 tailgate and let it descend on its own. No more do I need to keep it from falling while also balancing items in my arms.The instructions were very clear and easy to follow, even though I didn’t pay attention and put the shock on upside down. It was easy enough to pop off the clips and reverse it. It fits as if Ford made it.For its low price, it was a “buy it on principle†thing.

Super easy install, nice slow descent, no more tailgate slam.Work so good until you let go of the work trucks tailgate and then realize, they dont have them like your truck haha.Got my dad a set for his F250 after he saw them on my F150.Great product.Highly recommend.

Really easy to install and works great! MyKids can now open the tailgate without it falling on them! If you are on the fence, go for it. Totally worth the $$

The instructions were better; Now my tailgate (F-350) doesn't "drop & slam" with this Tailgate assist, which is very nice. Poor instructions are the only reason this doesn't get a 5 star review, because this is a great accessory to add to your truck :)
