This is a nice little pump. It works well, sucks pretty fast, and the cage keeps debris from clogging it. I love the auto shut off. It was worth every penny.

Works good has to be unplugged when not in use. auto sense needs to allow for more water to build up

This pumped stopped working in first rain. I shook it and it started working again. When it rained heavy the second time it would not pump at all. It was dead in the water. Since it was so long between rains it was too late to return. So I threw it in the trash and ordered a little giant. It is more expensive but it works great so far

Works well, we purchased for use in spring, but tried it out when we received it. Just drop the pump on pool cover and let it go. It worked great and the leafs didn’t bother it(we cleaned some prior to use.) worked just like it is supposed to and will make opening pool in spring an ease! Would buy again.

Apologies to Bobby Boucher, but dealing with water is never fun. This pump is a perfect supplement to the small drain in my light well that is unable to keep up with a large volume of water accumulation during a hard and fast steady rain. It's small, silent and turns itself on and off. The included storage bag can be used as a secondary filter to keep the pump motor free of debris. The generous cord length means you can find a power socket easily while keeping the pump in the optimal position. Minus a couple stars for the included hose that comes wrapped so tightly that the kinks from shipping cannot come out and the auto on feature that does not kick on at 0.6" as advertised.

Slow but gets the job done. The mesh filter works good. Would recommend.

Edit/update: Now that we have thawed a bit I am able to use it on the pool cover and it works great. The bigger pump is over the deep end and this pump is over the shallow end. I plugged it in and away it pumped off some water. It stopped; more water accumulated and it kicked on again. I am not leaving it plugged in due to more freezing weather coming our way. Helpful gadget that I wish I had 20 years ago.We have an in ground pool with an electric safety cover and have a large pool cover pump that sits on it whenever the cover is closed. My plan for this pump is to assist in the winter when the thaw comes after this deep freeze. The big pump is currently covered with ice and frozen. As the ice and snow melts the big pump will still be frozen and I hope to use this pump to pump off the water sitting on top of the ice as ice melts. It can also assist during heavy rain.I like that the electrical cord and the hose are quite long. This will allow the cord to be plugged in without need for an outdoor extension cord and the hose to move water far away from the pool deck.Pump arrives with a mesh storage bag, an amazingly tightly, neatly coiled hose and the hose adapters. The instructions are not clear about the hose adapters, but I decided to use the curved one that shoots water away without a hose. It works!Since I couldn't test it in the big freeze and I didn't want to uncoil the hose and have a wet hose to deal with my plan was to test it in the kitchen sink and video it. However, I didn't correctly anticipate how forceful the flow would be. So, instead of making a video I threw down my phone and grabbed the pump out of the water. Then wiped down the counter. Too bad there's no video of the whole incident. The pump works!I won't know for sure about the durability until I've had chances to use it outside.

First, this is not a super high volume pump that will pump water like you get from your garden hose. If that is what you want, you will need a much larger fractional horsepower pump. This is ideal for getting rid of excess rain accumulation on a pool cover, or what I use it for, to keep my boat sump clear. I have it placed in the deepest part of the boat's sump, and the sensor works very well - much better than the float type that requires several inches of water before it activates. Depending on the rise of the discharge hose, you will get some flow back when it shuts off, but that is minor if using less than 5 feet of rise. And speaking of discharge hose; the included one is so kinked it hardly works. I was lucky to have a hot day here in Florida and put it on my black enclosed trailer, stretched and held down at both ends to straighten. After one day it still had restrictive kinks, so plan on using another hose or waiting ??? for this one to unkink. The long power cord is useful to have the plug out of the weather, and this is working great for the task I use it for.
