Our home was built in the late 1960's. The original cedar shingle siding was dated, worn and required either painting or replacement. We chose to replace it, and did so with Hardie Plank. We took the opportunity to replace all the exterior fitments on the home as-well (mailslots, door knobs, door knockers, door bell buttons, house numbers, exterior lights, etc...).The main entry of our home has a magazine style (13") mailslot in the front door and a narrower letter slot (8") in-wall mailslot. We purchased both the Deltana 8 7/8-Inch Mail Slot for the in-wall mail box and the Deltana 13 1/8-Inch Mail Slot for the front door.The Deltana Stainless Steel Letter Box Sleeve was used to 'line' the opening in our solid wood door for a cleaner finish and a minor amount of additional security. The product fit perfectly and, once the Deltana 13 1/8-Inch Mail Slot flaps were installed, the fit and finish was exactly what my wife and I were looking for.The product is designed primarily as a reinforcement and liner for for hollow steel doors, but works great on wood doors too!

I’ve been waiting for an issue to be fixed with my garage door and have not installed it yet. It is a flimsy piece of metal that came by itself in an Amazon plastic bag. It arrived pretty bent up but can be straightened out. I live near salt water and expect it will rust fairly quickly. No installation instructions included.

I have foam filled insulated sectional garage doors with our mail slot cut into the door. The doors are about a 1/4" thicker that this sleeve so some foam is still visible. It would be great if this sleeve was made in two pieces that "telescoped" together. Then you could insert it from both sides of the opening and have full metal coverage with a variety of door thickness. I do like the quality and it is much better than seeing a lot of raw foam with out a sleeve, but it could be better in my opinion.

This was poor quality, was bent and flimsy and no screws to install. Find a different one to buy

It is a quarter of an inch longer than the cover, so it bowed on the bottom. Still trying to figure out a way to get the bow out.

Perfect match for the Brainerd Solid Brass Mail Slot . Fairly light gauge stainless steel but once glued into place in my insulated garage door it should work perfectly. I'm very pleased with the product.

It is a very thin material, was all bent and disformed from shipping.Did not come with mounting screws.
