Seem to work OK. You have to stop often the clean off the hairs that collects instead of cutting.

I did not like this product. It was flimsy and did not help with my dog's matting. I would not recommend this product.

I got this to help break up small mats in my cats fur and it can slice through small sections of large mats close to his skin to help get them off. I was also able to slice smaller mats where scissors could have been less safe. He doesn’t mind it as much as the electric clippers, which is helpful.
