Worked perfectly for my application. As a property manager I wear many hats, and one of them is the handyman. This adapter saved my tenant a lot of money as I was able to convert a standard faucet steel branded line and adapt it in a beauty salons sink faucet. Worked perfectly! Still going strong 3 years later.

I had a werid faucet suplly line which had a 1/2" nut on it, so I got this thinking the female size would screw onto my existing 3/8" shutoff valve and i could thread the 1/2" nut onto the other side. the 1/2" side was good, the supply valve went right on and threadded correctly, but the 3/8" side was too large for the shutoff valve, almost like it needed another 1/16" to even be close. Not sure what size the inside actually was, as I packed them up to return them, but they wont work for a shutoff valve in a sink.

the hex is barstock surface all the rest id machined 999% threads for tight fit, a dab of compound will mostly be extruded as its tightened into another device of equal quality.

This woked perfectly on to convert may propane grill which has a 3/8 inch male fitting to accept a standard 1/2" natural gass line.

This product is not 1/2" to 3/8" it is way bigger than 3/8". I had ordered four to use in hooking up a new faucet, and the feeds are 3/8" but the proprietary supply hoses that came with the faucet ended with 1/2". I ordered these but they are more like 5/8" to 1/2" or something. I returned hoping they just sent me some from a bad batch (the packaging was labeled 1/2" to 3/8"), and I got 4 more of the same. DO NOT ORDER!

What do you say about a fitting other than it was the right size and the brass fitting was well constructed.
