Increased riding comfort while maintaining the stock look. Heat from the exhaust system can become uncomfortable, especially riding in slow traffic. This issue really comes into focus for those with shorter legs. Not wanting to disrupt the attractive lines and appearance of the exhaust, DEI’s Heat Shield Liner Kit insulates the outer heat shield, without disturbing the looks of the bike. Each piece is precision cut to fit in-between the exhaust pipe and the heat shield, blocking heat transfer and lowering the surface temperatures of the outer shield. Easy to install, with no permanent modifications needed. The Heat Shield Liners are dual layer constructed of Aluminum and our proprietary Dura 2000 insulating material and offer over a 60% reduction in heat. Note: Heat Shield Liners install inside the head pipe heat shields. Please pay attention to what brand head pipe you are running not the brand of the mufflers. Kits are compatible with black or chrome head pipes.

I don’t usually recommend things ,but this works better than I expected. Went for a 80 mile ride on my RK. Bike is so much cooler next to my leg, and I don’t have heat coming up off of head pipe. After ride my laser gun was reading 132 degrees right off the head.

My RG was running hot after a tune. I didn't want to sacrifice any power so heat management was my best option. I added the cooling wings and fixed my lowers but she was still pretty hot. Next move was these heat shields. They were super easy to insert and the laser cuts were spot on. I only trimmed a few pieces which is to be expected. Afterwords I did notice a difference. I used my laser thermometer to check and they weren't bs-ing! I can attest they advertised and delivered.

Bought these to combat tri glide heat issues.... I installed them and lollipop in the exhaust at the same time... I don't as much radiant heat.. but I did experience more down low hp and torque
