Worked great for 2018 F150. I’m not a mechanic, so this is the first time doing this repair. I initially tried to push the old ball joint out with the tool, but it did not budge. I watched a YouTube video and they recommended hammering it out with a heavy hammer. So I supported the arm with my jack and it popped right out after a several direct hits. Using the tool to press the new one is was flawless though. It went in like butter. The kit had everything I needed, and it felt well made.

Not a bad basic kit, you might need some add ons but it will get the job done and so far jo issue with the quality of the product. Easy to use and and thick enough not to be bended while removed the old jeep ball joints

For the home owner and diy this is fine. If you need to use your tools to make a living this is not it. The tool did it’s job. I used it to press out 5 u joints on my trucks drive shafts. There is significant wear on the tool. I wish the set came with one smaller cup to use on yokes. I had to use a socket because the cups were too big to sit fully on the yoke of my drive shafts. The screw has a little slop in the tooling making the screw walk around a little when tightening. The head of the screw mushroomed a little. The screw shaft is pretty worn as well. The tool is fine for the once and a while use and for the money. I couldn’t take my drive shaft to a shop and have this done for the cost of the tool and parts. So it saved me a lot of money. If you do this everyday would go with a name brand, but this worked great for me.

Near perfect for my 86 bushing and ball joint project. I have never done ball joints before, so I really wasn't sure what kind of adapters I needed. The C clamp here is very heavy duty, and I was able to pop one of the ball joints out with the clamp. I also have a HF 12-ton press but wanted to install them both ways just to learn the process. It takes some muscle with the C-Clamp, but can be done.I had to modify one of the adapters to install the lower control arm ball joint. The control arms in the '86 Vette are aluminum, and the medium adapter just won't lay flat due to the design of the arm, so I had to cut a couple of "V" notches on each side of them to make clearance for this design. I then used my HF press to install them.If you have a press, I'd probably just go find an adapter kit with a larger variety of sizes. Yes, large sockets can be used, but the odds of having the right size socket for a large ball joint is slim if you're a home mechanic

So I went to replace lower ball joints on 2007 Chevy Avalanche LTZ. Initial removal of the ball joint was a cake walk. But when it came to installing the new ball joint, well some of these accessories failed. They started warping, slipping and mushrooming terribly. The install adapter didn't seat flush eventhough it was aligned properly. Once it bent and chipped away as you can see in the third picture.....it then set inside C clamp properly while tightening. The others began breaking down as soon as tightening started to install and seat the lower ball joint. None of the attachments correctly fit the ball joint area so they started mushrooming and slipped past the surface area for installing the ball joint. So what I had to eventually wind up doing to fully seat the ball joint was to take off the rubber boot of the ball joint, take the adapter seen in the picture with the pen pointing to it and my hydraulic floor jack, lift it up to the adapter and the ball joint and lifted the jack until the vehicle itself began to rise. This applied steady weight and pressure to the ball joint. Then I sprayed a little PB Blast between the lower ball joint and lower control arm as a lubricant to help fully install and seat the ball joint. With the use of the mini sledge hammer, I started hammering down on the lower control arm and after about 5 or so good wacks the ball joint fully seated and I was able to complete the rest of the work but those accessories in the ball joint kit that mushroomed etc are no longer usable. Maybe they can be cut down past the damaged areas but I don't see that happening. The C clamp is very strong, very sturdy and very durable but it's the other parts in the kit that are compromisable. The kit wasn't expensive and we spend more doing other things which only the memories last past the cost. So, my review/critique is fair and a honest one.
