CUTS 1/4 thick travertine tile!!! I installed a kitchen backsplash. I needed to cut out areas for outlets and switches. Since I did not have a lot of cuts to make , I gave these a try using my adrenal. Worked great and saved me the $200.00 cost of a basic wet saw and diamond blade. It took me about 4 SLOW passes with my Dremel to cut through the 4 inch wide by 1/4 thick tile. WORTH. The savings to take the extra couple minutes , over costly wet saw!

The wheels wore out somewhat fasterthan I was expecting. The grit and smooth cutting were excellent.

Needed to enlarge a recepticle box cutout in tile. The large wheels worked wonders, as long as you use the flex shaft attachment. The largest wheel is too small to make perpendicular cuts into a wall with a dremel itself, the flex shaft is much smaller diameter and worked great. I also had a spray bottle of water to lubricate the cut. Without it, it's really slow. Spray water on it and it just starts working. Keeps the dust down too. With one wheel, I was able to cut roughly 6 inches total and it still had life left in it. For the price, it can't be beat.

Let's first understand that if you want industrial strength discs, then go pay $50 for each piece! They will last a lot longer, save changeout time, and resharpen easily. For the rest of us, these will work to cut porcelain tiles nicely and last when used with water. The actual cutting edge wears quickly...3-4 tiles, but the sides remain viable for 2 bathrooms of niche and electrical outlet cutbacks.Don't push hard going through material and you'll be very happy.

Used one of the smallest to dremel off a bunch of pipe olives when changing out fixtures. They are true diamond cutters that cut quickly and last a long time.
