Installation was a pain, but that wasn't the fault of the product, it just requires you to work in a tight space. I got it in with an average amount of blood and cursing, most of which were at whoever installed the fireplace and wired the plug for it.Worked great all winter, made our living room too hot!

I have not installed this yet, but am writing this review to answer my own question which was not posted (hence not answered) I questioned does it matter or please identify which tabs get what wire i.e. neutral or the load wire. After I called the electric motor shop, it does not matter and I wired it only the way that it would make logical sense with my wire feeder lengths only. So yes it worked, and I believe it does not matter which terminal gets connected to what plug wire (not including the ground of course) I ran it, it seems very quiet, I left four stars because it has not been tested for any length of time. I just wanted to write this review to help anyone else that would have had my same question-there is no directions provided. Unit is great, modified old housing, this is not a direct replacement in my situation and it works so far outside of the fireplace fine.

I bought this to replace a 12 year old fireplace blower. It is ridiculously quiet! So quiet that I thought it wasnt working. Blows great too. I wish I would have bought this replacement years ago.

Easy install, I ended up using the plug from the old fan. Had to cut it off and put some connectors on it. Noise level is pretty quiet at medium speed.

Direct OEM replacment. Very simple install, all that needs to be done is to crimp on three electrical conectors for power and ground using original plug from old unit and screwing blower motor on to old bracket housing. Fireplace manufacturer wanted $347.00 for a replacment.

I've gone through many fans in my fireplace. I've bought this one a couple of times and the quality for the $ is the same as the ones that go for over $100.

This does NOT have bearings on the motor. They use cheaper bronze bushings. Buyer beware of false advertising

We have a Superior DT500 model fireplace. When our old fan locked up and started buzzing , I phoned around and found that there was no local direct replacement available. I called one fireplace shop and they had some fans on hand but needed me to remove my fan to bring it in as a sample for matching with the units they had on hand. I asked what price they were asking for their fans and the response was $250.00. A another local heating company told me that they were not able to come for 3 weeks due to it being their fall busy season. With nothing to loose, I worked at removing my fan. This being my first time examining how the fireplace fan related to the natural gas feed I was relieved that all I needed to do was turn off the pilot light as a precaution. Some recommend to turn off the gas valve as well but I did not do this. The fan assembly is just a plug in unit that is held in place by a metal tab that you can pull back with a set of pliers. Once freed and unplugged from the outlet, I found that I had to remove the front glass of the fireplace and the front door to the pilot light area to have the clearance to extract the assembly. The fireplace glass was quick to remove after releasing the clips but the front door requires some patience to remove the supporting screws (only take out one of the two) and it just slips out. Removing the glass gave us a much needed opportunity to clean it (hint use paper towels since ours was coated with a very black soot).I ordered the replacement fan on Monday evening and surprisingly it was delivered on the Friday of the same week. Since you have to use spade lugs to attach your old cord to the new fan, I would recommend checking out one of the excellent youtube videos on crimping to insure you get a solid connection. The fan installed easily into the old bracket although it would be nice for Amazon to list in the details of the fan that polarity is not an issue. I was uncertain were to attach the ground so I loosened a bolt near the cord reception area and attached it with a forked spade lug. I test ran the fan on my workbench and made sure the stress relief straps from the old fan were solidly supporting the electrical cord on the new fan.Installing the fan unit was just the reverse of the extraction process and it went smoothly. The new fan is quiet and time will tell how long it lasts. For now, we are very satistied with its performance and especially for the money. I have read that a repair man can do this task in less than an hour. I would estimate that the hole process took me a little over 2.5 hours but because it was my first time doing it, I took my time.

The OEM Part for my gas fireplace was close to $400 plus tax and shipping so I measured it up, took a photo and ordered this one from AMAZON for about $60. I had a wee bit of tweeking to do in fitting it but nothing serious and it looks and works just like the original. Great value!

I purchased this replacement unit for a Kingsman ZDV3624B fireplace. The cost of the exact replacement unit was >$200 Cdn but this unit was $60. I did have to drill two holes because only one hole (of 3) lined up with the housing but it was not a problem. The unit is very efficient and blows out air better than the old one. It isn't any more quiet but I just turn down the variable speed which keeps the air flowing and keeps the sound to a minium. Very happy with this purchase.

Fan installs relatively easily - depending on the fireplace - from the front, others from the top.Runs smoothly and delivers an adequate air flow.

Excellent value. This fan unit fit perfectly as a replacement for the old broken fan motor on my woodstove. Re & re was about 30 minutes. The fan is very quiet when running at full speed.
