I have a Mr Heater Buddy kerosene heater and when we had a blizzard the first week of January, there was a high chance I would lose my power. Watched some YT videos and determined I needed a heat-driven fan if I didn't want to freeze to death. I bought this one because I could get it overnight.I didn't have high hopes, but was very surprised at how well it works. It took me 5 minutes to figure out how to put the clip on it, and the instructions didn't really help. It was more intuition that got that clip on. Gave it a test run, took a minute to start turning, but once it got going, man, it was MOVING AIR and spinning super, super fast! The blades are made of aluminum and they are fairly small, and the volume of air it moves is shockingly good. The entire fan/stand gets super hot and you only want to handle it by the handle on top. After I took it off the heater and away from it, it took a good 5 minutes to stop spinning. It's a good purchase and I'd buy it again. Recommended.P.S. I didn't lose my power. But still glad I bought this!

Nice little fan, works well, perfect size for my smaller woodstove.

The fan was awesome and blew really well siting atop my Portable Buddy heater until one day the fan stopped spinning. I wasn't sure what was going on until I looked at the back of the unit. The plastic sitting behind the fan had fell off and it appears as if the small retaining tabs which held it on had simply melted. See image attached. Useless and outside the return window now.Edit 2/12/2025: The seller reached out to apologize for the situation and offer a full refund. I guess they had a bad batch of these fans and I would recommend trying them out again. 2 Stars for the fan experience I had but 5 stars for the customer service experience!

I was a little reluctant to get one of these, but very glad that I did. I use this on a Buddy heater and it works great! The little wire clip goes on to the heater and this just slips right in. It is not completely silent - you can hear the fan blades slicing through the air, but there is no other sound. It starts running as soon as it senses some heat from the heater and really gets to blowing when it warms up. You can feel it from several feet away. If you use a Buddy heater much, you know that a lot of the heat goes straight up and it takes awhile to heat a larger space. This sends the heat forward and I can feel the heat at the other end of a 24 foot trailer within a minute or two after starting the heater. A great addition to a Buddy heater or a wood stove!

The mounting bracket wire is "paperclip" quality. The works as expected but the small little mount will most certainly not last because of heat exposure.11-FEB - UpdateThe seller reached out to me via Aman messaging because I initiated a return. Since my fist review, the following occurred: These types of fans are traditionally designed for use on a wood-burning stove. While the idea of having a fan for Mr. Heater is fantastic, there is most certainly a design flaw in this current version. As mentioned previously the support clip is in much need of a heavier gauge wire. However, there's more. Because of the way this is designed to be mounted on Mr. Heater, the EXTREME heat the fan is exposed to melted the wires that connect the small fan motor. Furthermore, the stainless steel sensor on the bottom is charged and melted to the base. Lastly, the motor itself, although I can't confirm 100%, no longer works. The fan stopped working completely in less than 14 days. The seller has offered a replacement but I made it clear I suspect the same will happen again because of the flawed design. I did truly enjoy the fan for the short time it worked. It made a huge difference. Mr. Heater discontinued the model with the built-in fan years ago. I suspect for the same reasons I submit here. The amount of heat emitted by the heater itself is too much for small gauge wires and contacts. I hate that this concept was a bust. Perhaps, if I receive a replacement and it works I can update this review once again. Until then, I regretfully say this product doesn't work as described.

F1ourth Review! The 2nd replacement fan quit working too! Dated I will not purchase this brand of fan again.January 18th, 2023.THIRD REVIEWI got my replacement fan today from Amazon! I really appreciate Amazon and their service they provide! I have the new fan and it appears to work as it should! Anyone can get a dud! I am using this on a "Mr. Heater", "Portable Buddy Heater"! This new replacement appears to be working fine. It appears to be working better than the other fan. I hope to get more than 16 hours of usage out of this replacement fan. Just to mention again! I really love Amazon! Best service I have had in years.SECOND REVIEW!I have used this fan about a total of 16 hours with my Mr. Heater Portable Buddy! And now it starts up and blows air and in about a one minute it stops. I believe it is a defect. I am now getting a replacement same one. Maybe the next one will last longer. It did really work great when it ran. I will follow up with a review on the replacement fan. I had this one about 15 days.FIRST REVIEW!When I first added the fan to my heater the fan blades did not turn! The reason the blades would not turn was because the HEX SET Screw on the blades to the motor shaft was not tighten. Actually, when I did not see the blades turn, I took the fan off my stove and the blades fell onto the floor.I got an Allan Wretch and tightened the center Hex Set Screw, and it worked fine from there.I just got this yesterday. And I must say it puts out the warm air. I am using this fan on my Portable Buddy Mr. Heater.
