I use a wood stove as a primary heat source in my workshop and have tried a number of thermoelectric (non-wired/no battery) stove fans to blow heat into the shop area. The quality of materials and function in fans varies widely so I was interested to see how well the TITECK fan offered through Amazon Vine did the job.Admittedly, I was a bit shocked at the small size of the fan when it arrived. Even though TITEK calls it a "mini fan" the 3.5" diameter of the blades and 5.4" overall height gives the impression of a cute toy rather than a workable tool. However, when I placed the fan on my Vermont Castings stove and started a fire, I was pleasantly surprised. Though I had two other larger fans on the stove (with 6" and 7" diameter blades), the TITEK fan began working more quickly and appeared to move more air than either of the larger fans.Overall, I'm extremely please with the quality and performance of TITEKs small but mighty stove fan.

Much smaller than expected. Doesn’t move much air. It is well made and functions.

Be sure you review the size of this fan. It is very small and will work well in smaller areas. The fan is classic and the metal is a nice quality with a nice, black finish. It is incredibly quiet. The fan spins as it gets hot, exactly as you would hope. We do have a bigger space to move air through so it isn't quite powerful enough for our area (800sf), but it does a good job moving the warmth into the more immediate area. If you have a smaller space, I think this would probably work out pretty darn good.

So, first off, shame on me for not reading how small this fan it. Its like a Christmas ornament. My wife and I had a good laugh when it arrived. So, we started a fire and let 'er rip. We rigged it so it would have prongs that go directly into the fire. The little fan spins pretty fast, much faster than the larger ones. But it does not feel like it circulating heat any better. Its just small. The larger the fan, the more heat it will circulate. As another reviewer stated - its a conversation piece. Its just going to hang out on the hutch for a while. Very well constructed, just not practical.

Oh, and effective. :)Seriously, if you have ever used a wood burning stove, as a primary use case, then you know how energy efficient they are in producing heat from that good old pile of wood. At the same time, they are also terrible at dispersing said heat, with a hugely overheated main room, generally, and side rooms desperate for some air pushing.Sure, most folks will have some powered fans to push air, if they can, and surely that works. At the same time, having this fan which sits directly atop the stove, pushing heat and powered by that self-same heat, is just a wonderful and best-case option, in my book. It takes the hottest air at the source, and immediately sends it out to the rest of the room and house. For me, I always loved having two, pushing in opposite directions. This fan is well built, hefty iron and a simple and smooth mechanism. It's attractive, and the only caution I would refresh is that which they have themselves posted on the product, don't exceed the heat limit (which is not hard to do, btw...). Little over 650'f in this case.Otherwise, a great item.

This works great. It really responds to the heat and distributed it so much better than just the heater alone. It is large enough to grab a lot of heat.

The manual claims the fan will operate at temperatures ranging from 140-653 degrees Fahrenheit. However, when placed on a radiator measured at well that limit, it did not function at all. I even confirmed the base was at least 140 degrees. The only thing I can say is that it does indeed have low noise levels, because it doesn't work at all. I'm guessing you need a significantly hotter surface for this to function properly.

We wanted an additional fan option for our stove that would allow us to keep the big blower unit off while still circulating some air. This mini stove fan is small enough (really really small) that it almost disappears on the top of the stove, but because of the size it only moves a small amount of air around. In our open floor plan, that does enough to start to even the heat out and for my wife who has a chair by the stove it does enough. As long as you look carefully at the dimensions in the listing (it really is under 6 inches tall) this will meet your expectations. I’m thinking about getting 5 more to create a mini army of fans, just because they’re so cute.
