Received when nicely wrapped. Compact size for family use. Easy to use. Effective to clean glasses. No smell. Acceptable noise level. Keep in mind it doesn’t heat up like some others.

Buyer beware, This is the first bad review I have had to write after many years of buying on Amazon. Two units I got died almost immediately. I bought the 900 ml cleaner. It initially worked great for 6 or 7 cycles of 10 minutes each, with a few minutes of pause in between cycles while i was inspecting and changing the cleaner. There was visible cleaning taking place. I could see ripples on the surface of the water which is an indication of ultrasonic activity. Then it slowly got quieter, the cleaning lessened, and with maybe 70 minutes total use, there were no ripples on the water. I did the standard aluminum foil test (google it for more info) and it failed. No holes in the foil at all. I filed a return for the unit and asked for a replacement to be sent.The first thing I did with the replacement was the aluminum foil test to prove it worked, which it did - it created tiny holes in the aluminum. I used it for some cleaning cycles of about 10 minutes each, and again after 6 or 7 cycles I could hear and see that it was failing. It got quiet and I could see no ripples on the water surface. To be sure, I ran the foil test again, and it failed. No holes in the foil. Dead. Dunno, maybe a bad production run, or maybe it's just junk. I will be getting a refund this time. Very disappointed in the poor quality.

Very pleased with the quality and effectiveness of this product. I've never owned/needed a sonic cleaner before, but I was having a tough time cleaning some of my firearms (stubborn powder & lead residue).The best example is when cleaning my suppressor. Even though the manufacturer says you can shoot 2,000 rounds between cleaning, I can't get past 500-800 before the performance drops. The internal baffles separate for easier access, but are coated with thick, coarse layers of baked-on residue. Even after soaking for days in nasty gun cleaners followed by use of stiff wire brushes, most of the junk remains.Then I see a suggestion to try a sonic cleaner. I immediately unpacked this unit, filled it with the suggested vinegar and peroxide solution, loaded the basket with all 10 pieces and set the unit on 30 minutes.The outcome was spectacular. ALL of the debris was removed and the pieces looked almost brand new! Could not be happier!

I guess I should have paid attention to the wording as this does not heat. Unless you want to put hot water in all the time and waste you solution than by, but if you are like me and reuse the solution you will need one that heats. On carburetors you need heat to remove the varnish and this wouldn’t do it.

I received an email from Amazon asking me to rate this product and seller. Well, all I have done so far is to read the instructions, so I can really only rate the instructions, not the operation of the product itself. And the instructions are really not adequate. On the plus side, they are provided in six languages, so they should reach most users. And, as far as it goes, the English version is quite understandable, and tells you basically what the various buttons do; but much needed info is missing. The cleaner comes with a basket and a lid, but no mention of these is made in the instructions. Am I supposed to put objects to be cleaned into the basket, or is it ok to just put them directly in the tank? Am I supposed to put the lid on during cleaning or not? The instructions also say to fill the tank at least 2/3 with 'solution'. Since the word 'solution' is used, presumably I am not supposed to just use water; but what solution am I supposed to use? I have no clue. The instructions also say that the cleaner has a 'degas' mode for better cleaning, and there is a button to activate this; but if 'degas' results in better cleaning, why is it not always active? Why would I want to clean without 'degas' if that doesn't work as well? And what does 'degas' actually achieve? So... I haven't actually attempted to use the cleaner yet, and won't do so until after I seek out some more adequate instruction on these issues.

Would give it 5 stars but I have nothing to compare it to. All I know is that you put things in it that are hard to clean because of their topology and dirt comes out.

Look elsewhere. The unit failed within 2 months of purchanse and approxmately 6 hours of use over that period. Instructions were follow and breaks were given between each interval. Cannot recommend this manufacturer.

It works for very light applications but the vibration doesnt seem as strong as more expensive models ive seen, which is fair i guess. Just limits its utility a little bit.
