you can use it on jewelry, retainers, or dentures. It’s ultrasonic cleaning and ultraviolet disinfecting. Mine was recommended by my dental hygienist family member and I am very glad I got it. It’s very easy on the hands if you have arthritis or any other tendinitis or difficulty.

I had Invisalign and now wear a retainer every night. The ortho said, "Just brush it." That didn't come close to disinfecting it. I soaked it in mouthwash that was supposed to kill 99.9% of bacteria. It didn't. In desperation I bought the ShinePod. It did wonders. I use it every day and it really does a great job. My retainer is super clean. Love it.

Easy to use, effective cleaning pod. Some existing stains remain on my mouth guard but still satisfied. I am unsure if this type of cleaning is actually necessary but am happy with the quality, ease of use and size of the product. Prefer this item over their competitor.

Simply doesn't work! Perhaps I received a defective product, but this unit failed to work right out of the box. The light goes on, the machine makes a clicking noise when activated, but there is absolutely no cleaning action going on. Rather than small bubbles that are supposed to clean the retainer, the water simply sits absolutely still when the machine is activated. It is literally like watching a clear glass of still water sitting on a tabletop....nothing whatsoever. After using the product about a dozen times with no improvement, I called Customer Service at Swissker to advise them of the problem. I was told that their "Amazon Specialist" would call me back either that day or, at the very latest, the next day. That was five days ago and nobody from Swissker has ever called me back. I am now returning the product to Amazon for a refund. Very poor customer service (and a defective product) from Swissker.UPDATE: After posting this review, I was contacted by Swissker. They offered to send me a replacement unit at no charge. We'll have to wait and see if the replacement unit works any better than the original unit.

The last time I went to my dentist, I was told that cleaning my Night Guard would cost $$ and I declined - it was free before. I went online and this was highly rated. It works great and I don't have to wait 6 months for my Night Guard to be cleaned or pay the $$ my dentist was charging!

I have an older retainer that I was hoping this would clean well. It definitely feels cleaner but it is not sparkling like they advertise. I do think it helped to clean my engagement ring as well. It is a bit expensive for it to not really work....
