I have an outside hanging heavy boxing bag which is 100% exposed to the elements. I had the chain attached to the bracket with a similar for factor of this but fewer ball bearings. It rusted after about 1.5-2 years. So did the chain. Right now the unit is hanging the bag and doing quite well I also changed that there would be no metal touching metal, but so far it holds the bag quietly and during exercise very well. It is too early to give a long term review, but in the short term, I am pleased.

The product works well; however, I purchased for outdoor use, and it rusted. The way it is made, it will easily swivel up to 800 lbs as long as it is not exposed to extreme weather conditions.

We used it for our kids tree swing and it works great! Stops the rope from twisting and untwisting repeatedly - which ends up ruining the integrity of the rope.
