Original equipment fuel pumps often stop working when the modules cannot handle capacity and transistors on the PCB fail. This Dorman OE FIX replacement upgrades the internal hardware for increased current capacity and greater reliability. This part is compatible with the following vehicles. So my 2009 f150 would turn over but not start, automatically my first thought was the fuel pump. This is NOT always true. Start with the relay under the hood and check that. then go to the fuel fail and there is a Schrader valve on the drivers side on the top of the motor . Press it down to set if its under pressure. Please note THERE IS NOT A INLINE FEUL FILTER ON THE TRUCK, it is inside tank with the pump so that takes out the filter. What I did not know there is a fuel pump drive relay module under the truck above the spare tire. check this first before you think its a fuel pump. It is almost always that this goes first. Its a easy repairDon't make the mistake I did and go for the pump first!!That part worked great truck started right up. be sure you clear the codes on your truck then start it up . If no luck then consider the pump. Hope this helps

Thought the issue was either the fuel pump or the fuel pump relay. Replaced the relay first and it solved the issue. Saved me the hassle of replacing the fuel pump since it solved the issue and works.

Truck wouldn't start because this item wasn't doing it's job. Ford put it in a bad location where it gets junk in it. Two mechanics already knew this was the problem so the engineers at Ford kept in this particular location so it would fail. Every mechanic I've talked to said Ford keeps them in business. Will never buy a Ford again after this one. They had their chance to keep me as a customer. Their engines aren't bad, but the little issues that cost me time and money because of bad engineering lost me as a customer for life.

When the check engine light came on on my Taurus and I ran the code and found out what the problem was. This was one of the possible problems. The other possible problems was the throttlebody. I replaced both parts because the throttlebody had about 140,000 miles on it and looked like it needed to be cleaned or replaced. Instead of trying to clean it and then having to go back and clean it again or replace it later I just replaced it to save the hassle. The fuel pump relay was stupid simple to replace as it mounts behind the right hand side rear seat. If you fold the seat back down and pull back the insulation that leads into the trunk. It’s right there. It takes a small socket and about five minutes to replace.

Fixed my 2014 Taurus that quit starting, but still turned over. Just open the passenger back seat, remove two screws and wiring harness connection. Hint, small screwdriver helps to remove the harness connector...hardest part of replacement. Connect the new part, fasten the two screws and you are good to go. Saved $$$ over cost of replacing at mechanics shop.

Thought my fuel pump went (2013 F-150 5.0L) so I bought a code reader ($20) and got the code P-0627 (Fuel Pump A Open Circuit). Bought this module, arrived the next day, and it fits perfect and the truck started no problem!!! Would buy again (but hope to not have to!!)
