Replaced this tee as the original one on my wife's 2011 GMC Yukon XL Denali had developed a slow drip from one of the seals. Decided to replace this tee along with the other one.Not the easiest part to replace, but should only take 30-45 minutes for both if you are prepared. Just have something to pinch the lines and something to catch the coolant that will still leak out of the system. If you do each tee separately with pinched lines you can minimize the coolant loss. After looking at other reviews, I rushed into the replacement and broke off the tabs holding the main hose from the thermostat/water pump. This was not a good idea as the larger of the hose connectors could have been reconnected. To quicken the installation, the tabs should only be broken on the smaller branch that goes down to the aluminum lines for the rear heater.

Should you ever find the need to replace your heater hoses on a late model GM Suburban, consider replacing these extension fittings at the same time. They can break just like your hose fittings likley did and could leave you stranded somewhere at the worst possible time with a overheating engine. There are two different fittings and each have a different diameter. This white colored fitting is the inlet side and the slightly larger one is a black fitting on the outlet side. These 3 way fittings are all quick connect designed and seal upon proper placement.Remove your heater hose first, then unclip the top closest to the firewall followed by the lower connection. After doing this, the fitting can be pulled out with a slight downward angle. If replacing heater hoses along with these two fittings, take the extra time to install the upper and lower hoses, as this will mean 'All' of your coolant hoses are new and your Subrban is ready for years to come.Keep in mind you will also require 3 gallons of 50/50 Dexcool coolant 'IF' you elect to replace both heater and radiator hoses at the same time, note that everything required can be found at Amazon.com.

Because these fittings are plastic and located under the hood and they carry hot coolant they are prone to getting brittle and wearing out over time. We've gone through two of these in the 10 years we've had our Yukon XL so now I just keep one on hand all the time just in case it breaks. Its a bit of a pain to remove the old ones...you just have to pinch the tabs and pull and eventually it will come loose. There are several YouTube videos that go into the details, but you don't need any other tools except maybe some pliers if you can't get your hands in there to pinch the fitting. Also, the old fitting tends to come out with an extra pinch release part that needs to be transferred to the new part. Other than that its a perfect solution to a common GM problem.
