4.9 i6 300 seems to be oem fit, appears to work fine. If it fails I will update this but so far so good

The sensor does not reach the diaphragm as others state. I have a 1990 f350 with a 460, the egr was a huge pain to get out. I looked in the old egr and the protrusion on top of the diaphragm is taller than the one in this replacement, when you put the egr position sensor on the old valve you can feel it slightly depress the diaphragm, this does not happen on the new one as it is too short. I decided to try it and see if it would still work, it doesn’t, my old egr only set a code randomly, this new one sets code 31 right away and constantly as it’s defective. My advice, don’t buy it, it’s a waste of time and effort unless you already have a replacement valve & sensor in your truck, if it’s the original this isn’t going to work and Dorman doesn’t sell a sensor to replace with this so go buy another brand egr and sensor or get motorcraft.

As other reviews have noted, the well on the Dorman egr valve is about 1/8th of an inch too deep. The tip of the egr sensor won’t touch. I replaced all the other emissions components, but it was this out of specs egr valve. Went with a duralast from Autozone. Worked great and now the engine light is off. Whew! Save yourself the headache and avoid this brand.
