I had a issue with my 1995 Chevy k1500 Suburban the high setting on the ac heater fan control it was the only setting that worked at first I thought it was the control unit but I researched it and found out that the blower resister can cause this so I ordered the Dorman blower resister complete with new pigtail. I removed glove box door and it sits on top of the heater box with two screws it a little tight to get in there but it’s do able. I replaced it and now have all fan speed settings it worked great I highly recommend.

Used this on my brothers truck it only had high speed on the blower motor and after replacing it with this one it has all speeds.

The lower blower speeds produced a burning smell when in use. Other than that, worked well.

My 1997 suburban 2500 heater was ONLY working on high and no longer working on any of the lower settings which is the resistors job to change resistance to work lower blower motor speeds. This resistor fit the factory location and works really good so far!

Installed the new speed coil resistor and it worked great for about 2 weeks but the entire time it had an awful burning smell to it I thought maybe it was because it was new and had to get dust and finger prints and stuff burnt off of it but I turned my heater on and it worked for about 10 minutes then all of the sudden stopped and hasn't worked since

Perfect fit like factory part. Bit of a pain to replace but that's GM's fault. The only real difference between the factory part and the Dorman part is the material everything is mounted to (fiberglass PCB substrate vs metal/plastic). Zero effect on function.Expect a slight burning smell the first couple minutes as the resistors vaporize the packing oil, totally normal.
