Solve the signs of a Bad Heater Blower Motor Resistor
- 1. No air blowing through vehicle’s vents
- 2. Blower motor only working on high speed
- 3. Blower motor only working on low speed
- 4. Blower motor doesn’t work in certain settings
- 5. Smoke coming out of the vents
- 6. Burning smell.
- 7. Fan won't turn off.
NOTE
- The man/aux Control AC Blower Motor Resistor is located on lower passenger side dash and is easily accessible by removing a few screws.
- If the new blower motor resistor didn't work or stop work in a short time after replacement, please check if there was too much dust with your blower motor.
- Clearing dust for the blower motor via professional motor detergent, please don’t use water to clean!
- Wait for the blower motor to dry before installing the blower resistor.

slowly lost all my fan speeds in my trailblazer. i finally got tired of banging on the dash to get my defrost to work. installed this got all everything back. what a freaking life saver!

Easy to install once you get all the area under the glove box removed on my 2008 Trailblazer, just plug into existing sockets. Fan control worked fine after install.

This worked perfectly for me after install. I got this part WITH the wire harness for only about $20, which at Autozone was about $135! They sell the wire harness alone for $35. This was an unbelievable price for the exact same part.

It's made in china so as usual, it's cheap but will work as a band aid for now. Has multiple mounting holes and comes with a new wiring harness. Bought this for an 2003 trailblazer. For this application the resistor is built 180 degrees out. You are required to mount it in the reverse of the original part which puts the wiring harness against the fire wall and requires you to reroute the plug for the fan from the rear to the front. Not a big deal but it just barely fits. It was 20 degrees and snowing when mine went out so that led to the wiring being very stiff, numb hands and some choice words but like I said, it will fit and did work. I should have pulled my fan to inspect for the reason for the original failure but that will wait til spring.

Needed this the other day when my 05 gmc envoy xl 4.2l heat died. Replaced 2 screws and the resistor you see above, replaced and had working heat again in these minus 30 Celsius weather! Truly live saving!
