I like to use hem tape for holding difficult hems while I sew. When I am sewing hems in fabric that cannot take an iron, hems that are not straight, thick hems, or hems in bouncy fabric that does not lay flat easily, hem tape can be a quick fix for holding a hem down while you sew. This hem tape is ideal because it is so thin that you can fold the fabric over it for a half inch hem, or fold it over on itself to make a quarter inch hem that is still not bulky at all - great for sewing because you do not have to sew through the tape. The hem tape from this seller has excellent adhesion to fabric. You get 200 feet on one roll. Because the hem tape is so thin, it is a little difficult to get the first bit of tape separated from the backing, so once you get it make sure to fold over a little tab of tape and leave a "tail" on the paper for future ease of use. One last note, the tape does not have any bad chemical smells.

It’s very thin but super sticky. I needed 2 curtain panels on either side of my windows and I didn’t want to see a gap so I used this to put them together. It’s been a few weeks and it’s holding strong.

Stuck where we put it, held the fabric together, others could tell the hem was taped and done in a rush instead of sewn professionally… we were happy with our results. This worked out great for us. Out of time before leaving on a trip with items that needed hemming we threw this and the clothes in a bag and were able to sort things out “on the road†with no one who was looking at the items hemmed on the fly able to tell. For us, this was a win.

Sometimes double sided tape lacks good sticking power on the backside; this one sticks very well front or back and easy to cut.

I still am pretty rubbish at doing nice, straight hems, but this makes it easy! Just lay down a straight line, tear it off, and then fold the fabric over. It fixed a lot of my frustrations with trying to iron fabric only to have it come unfurled while I stitched. It holds AMAZINGLY - very sticky and also very, very thin. I haven't tried using it without also stitching the item, but I suspect that it would hold really well!

Sticky tape works well with many craft projects.Double sided allowed the opportunity to mount diamond paintings with ease. Also used in the kitchen and bathroom to mount items.Sturdy and looks to last.

I have used a 3M double sided hemming tape that you iron & it held up perfectly. I ordered this to see how it works & holds up in comparison & I am impressed. This holds up nicely. I have washed my pants & they are still hemmed with the hemming tape. And this is a good size roll so it will last a long time. I will be able to use this for lats of craft things.
