These were the only clamps that were able to hold pre-finished baltic birch plywood (3/4") in place while screwing the pieces together. There was still some movement due to how slippery the finish is on these boards, but it was marginal (less than 1/32").I haven't tested them as regular clamps, even though I purchased them for double-duty (I hate single-use anything), but given how strongly they held the pocket holed pieces I was screwing together, I'm pretty sure they're excellent for this application as well.

I was concerned about whether these would work well to hold a joint together that was created with my Kreg K5 Master System; they work great! Saved $$ by getting these vs the Kreg clamps, but that only matters if they work. Very satisfied.

These hold well on square steel tubing but not much else. I use a large amount of square tubing so they are practical for the stability when wanting to hold it in place for drilling, grinding, or welding longer pieces. The swivels on the jaws could be a little easier to manipulate, but they do work somewhat. Perhaps over a longer period, they will wear in.

Very creative tool. It can expand out to 7+ Inches. It is one of those tools which you won’t use every day but you will be thankful you have it when you do need it. Faster to clamp something than a screw type C-clamp. Feels sturdy and well made. It may not replace the need of a large C-clamp on large jobs where a lot of compression is needed.

The clamp is a good idea, but there is a spring that tensions the mechanism. I purchased the clamp for a welding project last fall. The spring broke in 1st week of use. I did not examine to identify the problem until I tried to use the clamp for a project today. I have contacted seller through amazon about obtains replacements. The spring is visible in the advertise photo, it has a very lightweight spring that “hooks†into a hole in the jaw. It broke the hook off at the hole.I purchased the clamp for use on welding pipes. It did not work on round stock as well as I hoped, but still I have found use for it (as a ground clamp on pipe)I will update my review if problem is cured.

Good for light and medium duty projects as advertised. Moderately sturdy. Just don't ask of them to do more and you will be satisfied.
