Bought the ultra saw for a DIY subfloor replacement and was very impressed with the saws capabilities. The blades not so much. Yes this is a wood blade and yes I knew there were metal fasteners in the old work but a few were simply unavoidable. The slightest minor contact with any nail or staple will diminish the cutting efficiency so this was a quick lesson learned. While I had the option to breakout the 30 year old SawCat, I finished the job with the Ultra. Researching alternate cutting blades hoping to find something more durable. For wood only they're great.

Keep the saw running smooth and cutting cleanly with a fresh saw blade. There is no carbide version so it relies on a set of clean steel teeth.
