It wasn’t the type of thing that I needed but it would work for what it’s ment for.

As a hand quilter, this is my "go to" thimble. I have used the Dritz leather thimble for years and have been for the most part quite satisfied. The fit is comfortable - I don't care for metal thimbles as I tend to have them fall off and they feel clumsy. The Dritz thimbles feel good, with the exception of one I'd purchased awhile back that was tight. Perhaps my finger was swollen a little more than usual, or maybe it was a problem with the thimble, but I got it wet and put it on the handle of a wooden spoon to dry and stretch and it was just fine. Every other one I've used has had a comfortable fit right out of the package.I like the flexibility of this thimble. It moves as I move my finger, but it stays put.I'm quite happy with the longevity of this thimble. It takes a lot of use to wear it out! I have tried a different type of leather thimble with a metal "coin" imbedded in it and found that the coin quickly falls out as the leather stretches, and what I'm left with is unsatisfactory protection for my fingertip, as the leather underneath isn't ample enough to keep the needle out of my finger. The Dritz product though, does not have the metal coin, but what it does have it leather that's sturdy enough to do what it's designed for without using imbedded metal.I'm happy with this product - it does what it's supposed to do and keeps the blunt end of the needle from stabbing into my finger. The leather holds up well but will eventually start showing signs of wear. When this happens, I cut the long end of the leather off (see photo) and flip it around to use the back side, getting twice the use out of it.This is my leather thimble of choice. It does what it's supposed to do (protects my finger) the price is right and using both sides is makes it even more economical. I'd rather put that extra money I've saved into buying more fabric! :)

A size "small" dritz metal thimble is to big on my fingers, but this leather thimble is a little tight, which is great, no slipping! I'm using it for my back hand when I quilt.Update: After trying to stretch this thimble out and make it comfortable to use, and pliable it hasnt loosened up at all. It is very stiff and long, very hrd to use. It is staying in my sewing box so my kids have a thimble they can "use" to "help" me.

I have used these leather 'thimbles' for many years! they are pliable to your fingers (after lots of use). they are thick and do get soft after use! highly recommend. they last forever (unless you use them) I have even cut the longest piece of thimble off and they work just as good!

The old ones, which I bought 4-5 years ago, were so soft and comfortable. I was so excited to get my new ones and they are completely useless. Yes I ordered two and sorry I did. Too tight and are so STIFF you can hardly bend your finger. I will either return or trash them. Don’t waste your money. Not sure if the 5 star ratings received the old style because can’t figure out how they can even use them.

It's perfect. Very easy to put on. Easy to use. It's not falling off and on the way like the medal thimbles do.

This is one of my favorite thimbles. I do alot of needle point and I do not care for the hard thimbles. The soft leather seems to allow me feel more of what I am doing. They also last a long time.

I bought this so I could hand quilt my mother-in-law's quilt she never got to finish. This thimble would stay on my finger. It was useless. Do not recommend.

I have arthritic nodes so regular thimbles won’t work. I thought this thimble would be the answer and while the elasticized portion slipped on with ease, the fold-over leather tip was too narrow and stiff. There was no way I could get the tip of my finger into the tip of the thimble.
