What’s the use of these for long term storage if you aren’t sure when they need revitalizing?Nice amount to throw into my various tool and equipment boxes as I live in a humid environment and rust is a constant issue. These are a perfect size for a small organizer like from Dewalt or Milwaukee designed to hold smaller tools or nails, nuts and bolts and so on. Of course, one can also throw a few in a larger container. Have worked well for me so far and have “recharged†no problem.

I wasn't sure exactly what size these were going to be so I included a picture on my hand for reference. I got 30g packets. They seem to be well made and easy to read since they go from blue to pink. I'll be using these to keep my filament dry. I will try to remember to update after recharging them. Will buy them again if the quality is consistent.

Had a silk dual filament printing funky. Vacuum sealed with one of these in the bag and it was purple the next time I took the filament out. Printing much better, which means these work to draw moisture.

I put 4 of these 20 gram packets and a small hygrometer in my Bambu AMS box (it's a 3d printer filament holder). For 3 weeks the humidity in the box stayed at 33%. After reading other reviews here, I poked 80 to 100 holes with a sewing needle in each side of all 4 packets and reinstalled them in the AMS. Overnight, the humidity inside the sealed box dropped 8%. The product description says "to work faster, you can poke a few more holes with a pin," but I found it does not work at all unless you make your own holes.Update: It's been a month since I poked holes in the packets and the pellets are a dark purple. The humidity in the AMS box is a steady 16%. I'm changing my rating from 3 stars to 4.

So I had gotten these for my car originally. Ever since a replacement windshield was put on there has been tons of moisture on the inside window. Waiting for my window to dry out and stop dripping made it way to time consuming. So I originally was usually the little white silica beads found in shoe boxes and whatever else. It worked but they quickly got full. I decided to order these because I liked how they were reusable. I have had them in my car about a month and just had to recharge them in the microwave. I could tell instantly when they stopped working due to my car window. Also because they worked so well I actually puts tons in the bathroom to help soak up the moisture from showers due to a faulty fan. So far so good.

Having purchased smaller packets from this seller in the past that worked very well, I came back to them when I needed larger packets. I was disappointed to find that the perforations that allow the packets to take in air were poorly manufactured and not stamped deep enough to allow them to breathe. Rather than messing with a return, I sat with a sewing needle and perforated each packet a number of times while watching TV. All in all, not terribly burdensome but I would rather have not had to do that. Once perforated correctly, the packets perform as expected. "Recharging" them in the microwave on defrost takes a bit longer than advertised but is effective.

Recharge following directions on package. I use 2 packages for a 50 cal ammo box and swap them out every 3-6 months...I keep an airtight container of fully charged (Blue) and a container of discharged (pinkish purple) that need to be recharged. Once I have 30 or so in the discharged container I follow the directions and recharge them in the oven. One thing I have noticed. When you pull them out of the oven look for condensation or "fog" on the package. If you see any they need to "cook" for at least another half hour or until there is no more "fog" present...
